Fortunately you rescued it from that status with this brilliant assessment... because after all, the whole world doesn't move until you've favored us by sharing your opinion.

I think any illegal drug is a gateway drug.
If someone tried coke for the first time before anything else and someone else said weed is lighter, they'd most likely try it. weed is just a popular.

Can be, I never really gone past it.

But most of the stoners from my area are now into doing coke and what not on a constant basis, so yeah, it can be for sure- there's no real argument about that.

First drug I tried was salvia. That moved onto weed which lead to shrooms which lead to blah blah blah. Curiosity killed the cat :p

No it's not. Fuck whoever first thought that asinine guilt trip.

Don't tell me what weed is, assholes. It's one of the few things I have figured out.

Pot isn't a gateway drug. I only do Pot, Shrooms and occasionally acid. At many many parties I've been offered MDMA, Coke, Snow capped Bowls, Shots of liquor, opiates, all sorts of shit. I have said no to each and every one of them and plan to do so for a very long time.

I have a VERY strong mental resistance towards synthetic drugs or any drug I haven't already been doing. I do psychedelics and weed. Granted weed DID lead me towards Mushrooms and Acid, it DIDN'T lead me towards anything stronger. I'm not one of those people who gets "bored" with a weed high, It always entertains me. I never want anything more, or take Pot for granted like some people do. Right after I started pot I made an obligation to myself. "I will never do Coke, MDMA, Meth, Crack, Malle (or whatever), DMT or anything else with a synthetic or un-trustworthy nature about it(I don't trust certain drugs obviously) . This is where I start and this is where I stay, Psycadelics are where I am"

So I agree, to some degree. I think we can let it be sort of a gateway, and this gate leads us to the drug that makes us happy or leads us to whatever it is we were looking for to start with. Whatever that is, then you have good old pot as that safety net, something to go back to when mushrooms are really blowing your mind.

I'll give it a try. lol. Nothing better to do.

Breastmilk is something that leads to tasty delicious eats your entire life so I cant really argue with that one.

But air? Hmm. Air is an element. Its natural and its literally everywhere. Quitting Air cold turkey is commonly known as "Suffocation". Air would lead you to clearer, cleaner air I suppose. "People aren't just satisfied with breathing. So they find something better" Is that what your getting at?

Duck is in a pedantic way correct :p

A dictionary definition of the word drug:

'A drug is a chemical which is given to people in order to treat or prevent an illness or disease.'

Both are used to prevent both illness and disease.

I have said it before and I will say it again.

Marijuana is a gateway drug....................to arts and crafts. I mean who other than stoners would look at anything and wonder how good it would be if they made it into a pipe.

But air is necessary though. We NEED it. Drugs are taken because you want more or you want less in life, filling some sort of hole. Air is something we need. I just don't understand it.

    Nore me entirely.

As I said, you have to be mighty pedantic- and being pedantic is what people are very good at on this site :p

Constant technicalities, backboard pedanticism and enjoying the thought of shutting others down is something that is popular on all forums. You just need to learn how to find the trolls in disguise.

See, I like my Merriam-Webster's definition - any substance or chemical injected, inhaled, ingested, or otherwise administered which alters the physiology

    ANYTHING!

I am getting at a 'drug' is whatever we choose it to be.
Air is required to breathe, sure - but different levels of air changes our physiology. If we have more oxygen than needed, say through steam opening our lungs in the shower - our thoughts are crisper, more rational, and come easier.
If we have less air - our bodies function slower, we are lazier, more sloth-like, etc. etc.
But if we have no air, then yeah, we get very altered =P

Food is taken because we have a hole. Some sorta nutritional hole, usually. Sometimes an emotional hole.
I would. I have a hunger hole and sweet tooth hole - but all we have in the house is ramen and tuna and I'm so sick of them +_+

Yes, actually. Considering people are actually discussing why humans need to eat and breathe it's making me hungry and slightly sad. I need my sugar fix.
