Marijuana is often a gateway drug.

Personally I believe the first drug you try is going to be a gateway drug whether you like the drug or not.

You could like being on the drug, and want to experience other drugs to see what they are like.

OR

You could dislike being on the drug, and you would try another drug to see if that drug is more enjoyable for yourself.

unless it freaks you out so much you don't ever do any drugs again

marijuana is a gate way drug with me as an example
i started doing weed a while ago loved it, still do. but recently i just started doing X and it was amazing
and im doing it again
it was AMAZING!

 

Just using the term "gateway drug" is feeding into The Mans illigetimate assumptions that that your first blunt will turn you into a crack addict.

The term belongs with "manufacture of marajuana" and "funding terroriat orginizations" in the garbage can of establishment propoganda.
