TheOMFGninja.. i was the same way a long time ago.. didnt really believe in astrology and such... and then i stumbled across a HUGE website dedicated to Scorpios and i read the whole site... quite the read i tell ya... and i'd say a good 98% of the material was right on the nuts.. described me to a T... so from that point on i've always believed in astrology

 

the funny thing is when you show someone that stuff but tell them its their own starsign, people always find a way to make it applicable to them. except if theyre told its some other starsign, then they look for all the ways its wrong.

this is an extremely common belief that isn't always true... yes, of course, there's no doubt that those kind of statements exist in astrology, ESPECIALLY horoscopes (hate 'em), but in depth, a good deal of the generalizations are clarified and made much more viable. in a general sense, astrology is as you state, but when actually applied specifically, it can be far more exact.

yeah jokerman,I kinda know what you mean about starsigns, I didn't believe in them either untill I met a very powerfull astrologer that gave me these readings and they are pin point accurate about everyone I know.

ARIES

StonerBill, in all respects, I had the exact same view of Astrology until I read about it, and learned it from a reliable source.

Asking what someone starsign is (which is an incorrect term, but more about that later) only a small itty bitty fraction, of what goes into making a true horoscope for a peron.
Results based purely on "Sun-Sign" astrology (basicing your "sign" off of where the sun was when you were born) are sort random shots in the dark, when it comes to "predicting" (and more on that later) whats going on with a persons life. They are usualy kinda right, but then also kinda wrong.

To truely work with astrology, or have any type of an acurate horoscope, you need to get the full details of what was in the sky when you were born. you need to have the possitions analyzied and then have the whole thing be interperated by an astrologer that knows what they are doing.
There is actualy alot of math involved in REAL astrology.
There is alot more to astrology than just some bullshit horoscope scrolls you find at the cash register at the super market.

Alot of people then think, well, how can the possition of the planets have anything to do with my personality? Its a weird idea, but what people are forgetting, is that astrology wasnt made as a tool for prediction, but rather, understanding. Astrologiers studied people, and thier behaviour and what they were like, and then made a correlation to what the stars were like.
Of course, after thousands of years of refining it, the system is very complex, but also very complete and inciteful.

And keep in mind that they are more than 1 system to astrology. Theres chinese astrology, verdict astrology (I might have misspelled that, but its basicly astrology from india) as well as the more "westernized" version of astrology.

Before you denounce too much more astrology, it would be wise to investigate it some more, learn about the systems and beliefs behind it, and then see if there are any truths.





Anyway, backtracking a little bit.. some of my experieces with the Tarot.

Let me tell you about the first reading I got...

I got the reading from my, now friend, Christina. This was actualy the first night that I had met her. Originaly, we started talking on criagslist, because I was looking for speed-reading lessons, and she emailed me. So we bartered, and in exchange for the lessons, I would fix a computer of thiers (her and her boyfriend).
So I went over to thier house, and we talked about the lessons, and about the computer, and just about a whole lot of things, and they were two of the coolest people I had ever met.
Anyway, so she invites me to have dinner with them (she was cooking) and it was awsome, then after dinner she said "Do you want me to read your tarot cards?"
So, I was sceptical, as always, but I said sure..

So she started with a generalized reading (and this is the most common type of reading when people see your average common "psychic") and basicly told me in a nutshell, what was going on in my life, and she said enough things in detail, to get me to say. "Wow, thats amazing, please tell me more"

She very completely detailed out the relationship I have with my dad, and how hes a jerk, but he cant help it.
She also told me about things going on with my mother, and how I should handle a situation with her.
And alot of other things that were going on in my life.

Anyway. After that night, i was so amazingly impressed with it, I went out and got my own deck. The cards, are so insiteful and amazing. I have not only given myself alot of readings, but have also read for alot of other people. Some people are also so shocked when (if you are good pracitioner of the tarot) you can tell them about things that are so detailed and understand things about thier life that they never told you about.

I actualy worked a few halloween parties reading cards, and I remember one person in specific. And she came up to me for a quick 5 minute reading (there were alot of people there that night).
I asked her "What would you like to know about?"
And she said "Tell me about my career."

And so I did a very quick and brief reading, sticking only to the topic of her career. And the advice I summed it up with, was "First of all, your very angry right now, you need to spend some time being angry, but dont make any rash descitions. Just wait for the situation to calm down, then everything will be fine"

And she said "I know exactly what your talking about, and I cant believe it. And your probably right."

She then told me about how she had been working at this one company for like 5 years, and everything was going great, and then just last week she got into a big fight with her boss, and how everything sucks now, and how she was just offered a job and is considering taking it."

She then said shes gunna take my advice and wait a while longer.



And these things are just a few of the things that have happened, there are always things going on that are "spookily accurate"

but probably the last thing tho, was a reading I had got several years ago.

Basicly, I was talking to this one tarot card reader about my relationship troubles. Long story short, there was this one girl I was interested in, and she seemed interested in me, and she would lead me on up until a certain point, then nothing. And, well, basicly, I was confused, and needed to know what to do.

So I asked the card reader, and she said "Its better off that you just stay friends"
I also asked her about a couple of other chicks I was interested in at the time, and she said that again, I was better off being friends with all of them as well. Oh well.

So, i said, well, tell me about my relationships in the future.

And she read some cards, but looked very suprised about it. And she told me, that in the next year and a half to two years, I was going to meet the love of my life, and that her and I would be together forever.
And so, I was pretty shocked about that. So I asked for some more details about her, but she said "You will know its her, trust me". So i said "well atleast tell me her sign", and she said "Well, okay, its an Air sign"
Basicly, going back to astrology for a second. An "Air" sign is the one group of elements that has the property of "Air" which is "intelegence" as its main atribute.
The signs which fall into this catagory are "Libera", "Aquarius", and "Gemini", myself being a gemini.
Generaly tho, people who are in the same elemental catagories tend to get along with each other. (again, one of thouse generalized things, but its kinda true, but again, theres alot more to it than just that)
Anyway, so its a good guess to say that "someone your gunna like is gunna be in the same catagory as you". But she didnt know I was a gemini.

Thing is tho, at that moment, when she did say it. I had my own flash of intuition, and I realized that she was a Gemini as well.


So, basicly, I wrote down the reading I had with her, and then filed it away with all my other readings (its good to take notes, then come back to them later, so that you can be sure of what you read, rather than a vague memory of it)

And about a year went by.

But it was weird, because for a lot of reasons, I basicly stopped dating (had nothing to do with predition, I was just very busy with work, and had no time for dates).
Around that time, alot of guys were working hard to get promoted, and one of my friends at the time "Vince", had been promoted, and was basicly my boss.
We would hang out once in a while after work and get beers or whatever. So, one day, he was telling me all about his computer problems (cause im a tech guy, I fix computers and stuff) and I said "Hey man, ill tell you what, ill come over to your house and fix your computer for you".
So he said sure, and said he would get me dinner in exchange for fixing his computer.
So, I ended up getting a pastrami burger at this one place he knew, and we took it back to his house.

Which is when I met his Sister.

So Vince's sister Valerie, hung out with us and had some dinner along with us, and then basicly hung out with us for the rest of the evening.
(you see a trend here? I fix peoples computers for dinner, LOL)

So anyway... as I was fixing her thier computer, her AOL instant messanger popped up, and I saw her screen-name. Which, was a very very weird screen-name, and I was compelled to ask "WTH with your screen name? whats it mean?"
And she pulled out this book of crazy carictures done by this one japanese artist, of this little devil goth looking girl surrounded by little doughnuts.
And I was like, omg, this is so weird, but such a danm cool picture.
So I told her my screen name, which is also pretty weird and funny. And then she told me her other screen name, which, again, is weird and funny.

So, I figured, eh, bosses sister, whats the worst that could happen?

We started talking like every day, cause we both worked the same hours, and both had access to AIM.
We started going out about a couple months after that. And then went exclusive a couple months after that.
We've been going out exclusively for about 9 months now. Neither of us has ever been in such a serious relationship before, but we hardly fight (there is a little fighting every now and again) but I honestly couldnt be happier with her. She is one of the smartest girls ive ever met. Shes very artistic and tallented. She is a very kind and loving person, as well as shes very hot, which is weird cause most people say "Danm, your not good looking, so howd you get such a hot girlfriend?"

So yeah, Thing is tho. We started going out basicly 1 year and a few months after I had that one tarot reading, and the lady said thats when I was gunna meet that one special girl. Shes also a Gemini. (which also is technicly 1 out of 12 chance.)
Her timing was a few months off, but its okay, Im pretty sure this is who she was talking about.

i'm glad i did, because i learned you work with computers! i can't make you dinner...but do you have any idea how to get rid of this little translucent looking outline of a rectangle on my desktop that remained from a frozen program? it's been there for weeks and through many restarts and such? thanks for any help!

and i'm pretty skeptical about astrology too, but maybe i'll look up a bit on it.

 

I can help ya with that, but only to an extent over the message boards, cause I would need more information about your system. but, off the top of my head, here are a couple things you can try...

1. Run Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware stuff. Alot of people need to make a habbit of doing this.
2. Run RegClean.

3. If you know a thing or two about computers, use "msconfig". Go through the programs it opens on startup and remove a bunch of them, if something looks like its a system file, or program you use, keep it there, if not, remove it from the startup.
