Perhaps no one explained to Walker that Carroll O'Connor has been deceased for over 20 years,

 

AND that good ol' Archie was just a smidge racial...

Still, the aim of the show was to make bigots look bad. And Carroll O'Connor pulled it off brilliantly! He showed Archie as ignorant, rigid and insecure, and was hilarious in doing it. I'd like to see a similar show with a MAGA father whose daughter marries a Democrat!

 

Or better yet, have a show based on a miserable racist Georgia legislator whose daughter who marries a Jewish-African man after converting.

 

Only in character- not real life. He was a damn good man!

I agree Carroll O’Connor was a good man, and even on the TV show 'In The Heat of the Night' (which btw he wrote many of the scripts under a pseudonym) when Howard Rollins was suffering with addiction, he was the loudest voice to keep him on the show, despite rumors that he tried to get him fired. They would use the excuse Virgil was working with the FBI or continuing to get his law degree.

 

Two for one special; tax fraud in Texas and election fraud in Georgia.

Herschel Walker, the Republican candidate for a U.S. Senate seat, is set to receive a tax exemption for maintaining his primary residence in Texas even though he is running for election and living in Georgia.
Walker is set to get a homestead tax exemption in Texas for 2022, saving him about $1,500. Walker took the tax break in 2021 and 2022, even though he registered to vote in Georgia.
Georgia law states that you have to be a resident of Georgia and live in the county and voting precinct where you will vote. The U.S. Constitution mandates that Senate candidates reside in the state they will serve when once they’re elected.

The latest poll has Warnock leading Walker by 4 points so in the end it may turn out to be a moot point.

 

Her district is a largely rural part of Colorado, west of Denver where she could never get elected. A lot of the residents there would have been at the Capitol on Janurary 6 if they could have made it. These people resent seeing marijuana dispensaries operating in their town and want someone ultra conservative representing them. She might seem a little "eccentric" even to the MAGA minions but they love her passion!

Even still she won re-election by a razor-thin margin.

 

Awesome show that I’ve come to appreciate much later in life. Carroll O’Connor was awesome!
