Im no trained fighter but ive been in street fights plenty times before.
I'd like to be trained better but is it possible to train your self how to fight with out intructer or opponent. Like there is people who never fight in there lives and then the day comes and they completley mutilate the person. I feel thats how I am, not because of technique but mind frame.
I dont dwell on I cants. How many of you all bank on hand to hand combat a mind game that can be conqoured with confidence. I mean me personally as long as the person hasnt had extensive training in MMA then its a 50/50 chance right?
Is fighting back not a surivalist thing that your set for irregardless of training.
I know by my experiance if you punch me in the face itll hurt but so does allot of other things that occur naturaly. Seems to me youd be able to channel pain out (as most say) like a pitbull and continue. If fist to face doesnt work, my tactic is to get up in you. Id litterly jump at you and use my animal intincs(were all mamals) and surive. Whats the cost a few bruises? I take that, but my stlye of fighting is based more on who stands last. Imagine fighting a bear that could let you beat at him, tell he decides to grab you up and have his way. Exulting his premitive skill with out fancy formation leaving you begging to survive.
Is this bull shit way of thinking or are there other belivers in fighting like animals. I could be wrong I try to stay away from fights. Manily because when I was in school I was worried about stylish punches, but now lets get down like animals. Theres nothing fair in the streets. I feel that if the wrong one makes me fear my life, its time for DOG EAT DOG
how do you feel? we all have it in is right?

^^ I somewhat agree with you, some martial arts just aren't pratical and don't work in real situations, but its better then doing it on ur own, I mean unless u have a punching bag or something your probably not getting much out of it. Fighting with just ur instincts works on some level, but just because you dont practise marial arts dosent mean the person attracking u doesent. Alot of people think the "bad guys" don't do martial arts when really alot of them do. I mean if ur a bully or a robber of course ur going to want to learn new and more affective ways of hurting people. And u don't need to be an MMA expert to be a serious threat, I guy with a solid boxing background can kick some serious ass.

Me, i'm smaller then ur average male aobut 5'5 and about 135 pounds if I were to fight someone much larger then me using only instinct I'd probably get my ass handed to me unless i did some seriously dirty fighting (and why not?). Who here practises a martial art they believe is practical in real world situatoins? anyone?

You can watch documentaries about different matial arts on you tube under human weapon, I'd love to learn krav maga as it's probably the best thing for actual self defence. Sadly it is not offered in my area...:(

Go with Krav Maga. It's the best [practical] self defense martial art I've seen.

Highly recommended, A+++, Would buy from again!!!!
