Not only are you blind to the obvious systematic nature of the political process, but you also have no sense of humor.

Yeah I do think he goes to interviews unprepared. He feels his "war hero" status and links to Bush/Cheney give him a pass. Hell look at what Bush has gotten away with. Thing is we are ready for something better and a real change.

Attacking women because they are women won't win him points and he knows it, that's why he picked Palin. Thing is women don't support anyone just because of what's between their legs, unlike some men, who feel attacking a woman's sexuality will totally disarm them. Women usually prefer someone with a brain under their hair and the skills to use it.

    Try again Rubin.

just because people don't want to listen to vulgar ageist, sexist putdowns, that doesn't mean they don't have a sense of humor. fortunately, that's what ignore is for! :)

edit: oh great...they don't allow you to ignore a mod. well, i guess when i get my fill of it i'll just have to move on. *shrug*

I am sure when he and his handlers signed to do the show they thought they were going to be applauded for their choice of vip. Surprise...surprise.

He was unprepared, much like he is with his responses to today's economic crisis.

I don't find your demeaning of women in this thread humorous. And I assure you I understand the systematic nature of the political process. You have lowered the bar to it's lowest comon denominator. I would hope in the 21st century we had advanced past juvenile attacks based on human sexuality. What next blacky jokes?

I am dialup and just getting through part 2 right now. I have to say. .. What I see is not someone that can guide our ship of state through four years, with the economic and foreign situations we have to face today. I see someone ill prepared for much more than relaxing in Arizona in some retirement community.

Perhaps these questions were asked on a daytime women's orientated program, but they asked the really hard questions no one else is.

Thank you for the links, I am glad I got to see this interchange. What it presented to me was someone that can't field questions posed by daytime talk hosts, who happen to be women...is that what we want to elect?

So what were you expecting? You were disappointed because intelligent women were asking intelligent questions of a presidential candidate that couldn't seem to come up with adequate answers?

What were you expecting? A little nude mud wrestling?

Part two: he believes in the seperation of church and state? He quotes our money: In God We trust... He says that Lincoln was a founding father? NOT, And he states that he should have been released from prison because he was doing Ceasar's work??? Did Ceasar save Christ? Was the Vietnam War held on behlf of Ceasar? Who's behalf was he fighting for? WNo exactly are we sending our children to die for today. Was our war with Iraq one for Ceasar...I hope not.

    Working on part 3.

typical...he can't think of an apprpriate answer so he goes for the old stand by...the founding fathers intended it to be this way. WRONG. The founding fathers were aware that the constitution would need to be changed in order to be effective in a world of constant change.

I know, I know, everyone is tired of hearing the word "change". Get over it. Humans, government, earth, religion...they are all useless if they don't evolve.

He does go on interviews prepared. Believe me, McCain's campaign advisers are a million times smarter than you are, don't kid yourself. Hell, maybe being attacked on that damn show only made him more popular... I'm sure that most of his voter-base hates The View. Hell, every intelligent person should have a little hatred for that trash in their heart.

You are oversimplifying the entire process to such a degree that I'm afraid that we cannot even talk politics, since we are not on the same level of understanding of the entire process.

...and this has nothing to do with women.

I am not demeaning women, only the lesbian butch-dykes on the view.

I'm not saying that it's wrong to be a butch-dyke. I know some great butch-dykes.

What I am saying is that those women are ignorant politically and pretty much dumb. Their audience is dumber than they are. It's ludicrous to believe that those women "ask the tough questions" and that McCain wasn't prepared for them. Nothing is that black and white in the modern world. You'd expect a person to realize that at your age.
