McCain's VP: Sarah Palin, Babe-a-licious

hmmmm, that is very much like the scientologist take on creationism... except you have a speghetti monster instead on Xenu, a mountian instead of a volcano, and a midget instead of a thetan... hmmm, is this a conspiracy to get scientology taught to our children in school?!?!

I was listening to a local call in political radio show earlier today and all these woman Obama supporters that were former Hillary supporters were calling in saying that they thought it was kind of insulting for Palin to just assume because they are woman they should just vote for the female candidate.

The Democratic conference and the whole McCain/Obama thing has been all over the news here recently nonstop.. I take it you guys don't have the same on TV when it comes to UK party politics lmao...

That Palin woman is a proper fucking bastard though, McCain's wild card dragged out after Obama made a pretty damn good speech a night or two ago, I don't remember (though I still think the man's a ****, he's preferable to McCain- or Clinton for that matter).. She's anti abortion, creationist, into guns, supports oil drilling in Alaska etc and until a couple of years ago she was mayor of a town of 9000. I don't understand how any civilised nation can have creationists in power unless it's part of a conspiracy to keep people thick as pigshit (or anti abortionists either but that's another thread)..

One of the big arguments against Obama is that he's got limited experience but although she's not aiming for number one she has next to none, just a pretty face (incedentally, I think she looks rough).

There was a Republican party spokeswoman on Channel 4 News last night who was being interviewed and asked questions about Palin's experience and policies and after a while she went mad and kicked off screaming about 'blah blah blah, Obama is the most liberal politician in years, the US isn't ready for a liberal president, it's great to see that the UK news is so unbiased, not. you're just trying to make me slip up and say something bad blah blah blah'.

I don't think she quite understood that that's the point of the news, it's not there to make you look good, it's to make you prove yourself and talk your walk. I don't think she understood that if it were a Democrat in the same place they would get grilled just as hard by the same interviewer to try and find holes in the arguments of both sides. US news is horrificly biased from what I've seen and it did make me laugh that she suggested that C4 News was biased when it's one of the best mainstream media sources there are and that she said Obama was liberal (he's not).

Also read a really long article the other day about a lot of traditional Democrats, especially in the southern states, who won't vote Obama because he's black- I mean wtf?

And one more thing at the end of this essay is my observation of the Democratic conference: they're crazy! Fireworks, Michelle Obama coming on to Stevie Wonder's 'Isn't She Lovely' with the kids and getting them to say 'I love my Daddy' into the mic and people crying all over the place etc.. Made me feel ill, I can't believe people seriously lap that stuff up, it's insane imo.. In politics over here you'd get laughed all the way back to a minimum wage job if you tryed pulling stunts like that.. It's obviously a cultural thing but I find that really hard to understand that someone who would do such a thing could be respected as a politician.. Madness!

Obama would be better than McCain for sure, the guys geriatric and probably out of touch with reality, protecting and backslapping the same old bunch of cronies who've been running the show since Reagan- and that's before you get into business and capitalism, though the two are madly interlinked.

Over here I spoil my paper every election if I agree with none but you guys seriously need to get the Republicans out- Democrats are shit but are definitely the lesser of two evils. That said, the CIA will probably kill Obama or he'll befall an 'accident'..

I actually liked the obama family theme for the convention i mean how often do you see that? Well i haven't atleast not in a while. And all i can say is mccain is lame as hell the whole time he's been talking shit about how obama has no experience to be president but you go and get and inexperienced running mate!?!?! And you voted against MLK day idc what you say about you didn't know, you were inexperienced, there were too many federal holidays already, blah blah blah MLK is one of the most influential people not in just black history but history period, can't vote for a guy like that not to mention his lil side business has dealt w/ known terrorist and shit
