No doubt. One side of the coin is that all these systems are going down the shit-hole. The other side is that out of necessity, people are turning inward and going deeper within themselves, questioning their ideals and values, and finding something more existentially essential than their everyday ideas about what reality is. A psycho-spiritual evolution is emerging beneath the surface of all of this materialistic chaos that we are currently facing.

The rut we're in is forcing us into the evolution that is required. It's sort of a bloody and painful transition, kind of like child-birth, but one that is necessary.

I've seen this all as sort of gathering momentum, first very slowly and gradually, and now with unprecedented acceleration and increasing intensity DAILY, where 2012 could be the final "liftoff" for the rocket. And who knows, maybe the rocket won't successfully lift off and will crash land into an apocalypctic disaster. There's no guarantee that this shift will complete itself.

Ive been learning a lot about terrence mckenna since first reading this thread (thats why i love hipforums so much, it expands my mind) and I think his theory concerning 2012 was that linear time would cease to exist in human understanding, which is why two tools utilized to measure linear time, a calendar and the time wave, would ceace to exist. I don't really like the words "time travel" but essentially he theorized that we would learn to communicate with other dimensions in space-time. I take all of this with a grain of salt but its really fascinating and fun to learn about.

Reminds me: Think you of the fact that a deaf person cannot hear. Then, what deafness may we not all possess? What senses do we lack that we cannot see and cannot hear another world all around us?

The Mayans predicted the coming of white men to their continent. Knowing this, it would be very foolish to assume, with complete confidence, that this prediction won't come to fruition.

Reading Mckenna and listening to his lectures has had a profound effect on my perspective.
