...and the room would be finite in its own scale as colossal as it may be in ours.... and is our reality a concept just beyond the grasp of a universe that dwells within? Is that molecule which the electron microscope reveals, magnifying the pencil tip define the outer reaches of a mini universe that is seen by those that dwell within it as vast and infinite? Are there 10,000 monkeys in that universe randomly typing out the manuscript of War and Peace and collectively wondering if a single entity could possibly accomplish that feat? Do we exist because our collective imaginations are sharing an incredibly lucid hallucination from which we will wake collectively incarnate as the same singular entity?

There are so many paths to knowledge. "All knowledge is worth having." There are things we (as a collective species) do not know. perhaps some things we will never know, and some that we can not know. Most people don't allow the unknown the space it deserves.

How big would be the room that holds all knowledge, since ever answer leads to more questions, the room would continually expand like the universe.
I smell cream cheese frosting suddenly... weird. Time for a musical interlude!

"Whenever life gets you down, Mrs. Brown,
And things seem hard or tough,
And people are stupid, obnoxious or daft,
And you feel that you've had quite enough...
Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving
And revolving at nine hundred miles an hour,
That's orbiting at nineteen miles a second, so it's reckoned,
A sun that is the source of all our power.
The sun and you and me and all the stars that we can see
Are moving at a million miles a day
In an outer spiral arm, at forty thousand miles an hour,
Of the galaxy we call the 'Milky Way'.
Our galaxy itself contains a hundred billion stars.
It's a hundred thousand light years side to side.
It bulges in the middle, sixteen thousand light years thick,
But out by us, it's just three thousand light years wide.
We're thirty thousand light years from galactic central point.
We go 'round every two hundred million years,
And our galaxy is only one of millions of billions
In this amazing and expanding universe.

The universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding
In all of the directions it can whizz
As fast as it can go, at the speed of light, you know,
Twelve million miles a minute, and that's the fastest speed there is.
So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure,
How amazingly unlikely is your birth,
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space,
'Cause there's bugger all down here on Earth." Monty Python

there are so many ways to look at life and reality. but the truth is we will never know. maybe we will find out when we die but who knows. there could very well be a god i dont doubt it. but religion i personaly think is made up bullshit(no offense to some people). we are just one galaxy among trillions of trillions. and i bet we are one of the dumbest to. and after all this is said and done, no matter what happens we are still gonna work for shit and die. not know anything beyond what we know now. and whats even worse is we dont even kno everything about our own planet and whats happening here. the government keeps so much stuff from us its not even funny. i could go on for a long ass time but its 2 am and im fuckin tired as hell so ill stop. i just home that in my lifetime the rest of us stop living as brainwashed sheep and wake up. but i doubt it..

I don't know about multiverses and cosmos or spirits and gods, and the universe is too complex and vast for my mind to comprehend. but I do know that I like Bill Hick's take on life; it's just a ride with ups and downs, chills and thrills, screams and dreams. hold on, and enjoy it cause it's just a ride.

Is there some meaning to this life?
What purpose lies behind the strife?
Whence do we come, where are we bound?
These cold questions echo and resound
through each day, each lonely night.
We long to find the splendid light
that will cast a revelatory beam
upon the meaning of the human dream.

why does life need a meaning to exist? maybe it just is? why should we question a good thing? and what if it doesnt have a meaning? will everone be like "OMGOMGOMG /WRISTS!"

i personally think it doesnt make a difference and that everyone can find their own meaning to life and that there isnt any one meaning for everyone. people can make their life and reality meaningful by doing what they love, whatever that may be. you have to find your own meaning inside yourself, it isnt outside.

This is what i was going for this thread was meant to show that understanding such things is beyond us. Maybe there isn't a meaning, maybe there is.

hahaha mening of life easy to find but u have to look look at all living things meaning of life didnt just start with a one person one day a 1000 years ago [IMG] the meaning of life stared withe the lfe its self it dose not mater if u are a human a frog a bug or a plant they all have it.

whate every life form on earth does excliuding things like eating breathing well to keep them self a live?

Its reproducing no one needs to do it but evryone does or atlees try ther best[IMG] meaning of live is to make a child to continue the life its self coz if evry life for dies then thers realy no meaning at all.

i think your question should have been whatse the meaning of death?

So you're essentially saying that the meaning of life is death and the point of the excursion is the destination and not the journey. I can't say I agree with this but it does explain why so many seem to be napping the whole trip.

I don't believe that the all-encompassing meaning of life is to be happy. Why should joy be more important than sorrow? Life is full of ups and downs, and this range of emotion allows for different types of experiences to become a more rounded individual.

You're suggesting that the meaning of life centers on the individual? Expanding on your point- in order to become a more rounded individual one must allow a degree of outside influence and maintain a certain level of contact with others while seeking out new individuals who can offer some sort of spiritual growth.

whate i meant was that life itself is simpal there for the meaning of it is simpale its the physical par of your the jorney its only a start of it thou so yeah life is death. only after your death yuor soule is free to understand whate is this universe becouse you will be a part of it. there will be no erthly body to confine your thinking in physical terms.so whate i am saying that u guys are overthinking the living part have fun thats its simpale. insted try to understand whate hapens after death coz thats is far more complycated and important. me thinks[IMG]

just becouse u heard of mathematics and tryd to imagine it that dose not mean u understand it only when u become a part of it (a student in school) u know what mathematics are.
