I thought liquids only refers to carry-on baggage.. I've never had any problems taking shower gel or the like in checked bags. Don't worry I'll think of a way

It does only refer to carry-ons and all of your ideas are fine except maybe the alcohol one. You would be fine as you can have up to 2-4L of alcohol in your checked baggage, HOWEVER, there is no clear rule on open bottles of alcohol. If I were you I would cover the top with plastic over the seal just in case they try to give you bullshit.

Shower gel and eye drops are all good on carry-on if they are under 3oz, and you can put as many of those 3oz bottles as will fit in one clear quart size baggie.

 

The big bottles will definitely go in hold baggage.. and if a shampoo bottle is half a litre, you can dissolve 20 grams in 100ml, so 50 will easily go in one bottle.
