Men: Describe the woman personality you like least

For a second there I thought I was reading the thread about women's least favorite male personalities. :dizzy2:

 

The self-involved, hyperactive, chatty types.
The image-obsessed, brainless consumer.
The usually bitchy, always careless, headstrong take-charge of everything and everyone around them type.

I guess the second one applies to guys as well; and the third one can be seen in them on occasion.

 

Looking through both threads, it's very clear that most of the unsavoury "personalities" mentioned are pretty much interchangeable with both sexes. The vast majority of negative personality traits can be held by both men and women. It's just that the individual (if straight) is more likely to only associate those traits with the opposite sex, because they're the only people they spend time with in a romantic/sexual sense.

 

This is true. When I posted, I was inspired by annoying ex's. Those traits are found all across the board. I put up with a lot of bullshit with people, but to be in a relationship with a person....a higher standard is held. Little things become big.

 

Pretty, self-obsessed ones with no substance.

 

I've never been in a relationship, but even to me it seems very obvious that anything negative in a person you're romantically involved with will appear as worse and far more of a trial to endure than if it were anyone else. Although I've never been in a proper relationship, I have had deep romantic feelings for someone before (and thought he shared them for me because he told me so), and the pain I felt when I discovered he'd been lying to me was far worse than if it had been someone I didn't have those feelings for.

So it's definitely understandable (if not something that stands up as a universal truth) that lots of people who have been wronged by the opposite sex in an emotional and romantic sense have more intensive negative feelings towards the opposite sex than people of their own sex. But seeing as I'm able to look at the issue from a more objective angle than most other people, I can definitely see that most negative personality traits can be held by either sex. Men can treat women like garbage, and vice versa. There can be subtle differences in how either sex goes about doing that, but overall, there's not much difference in the acts themselves, only the sex of the person doing it.

So I guess I mostly hate the shitty parents who create these shitty people..... Who then become shitty parents, who I, in turn, hate.

But then read that. Whilst for the most part I think things are better now than "Back in my Day". The whole dependancy thing, whether its from then living with their parents longer nowadays, the whole Dr Phil and related type shows mantra of blame anything that goes wrong on anyone but yourself thing or whatever.

But a lot more of -hit 30 still never left home, not far off starting their own family but still too dependant on mommy and daddy thing- nowadays. Male and female

 

Yup. They're usually the same ones who use the word "random" a lot and call themselves indie.
