dude, yer gonna be very lucky to "find" someone like that, it's very rare to get an "off the shelf" ideal partner

you find an individual with enough about them to be interesting.... then over time you both bend and blend until you become perfect partners.. at least, i think that's the way it's supposed to work

you might meet someone that one day makes ya want to sell all ya assets and go live in a log cabin on a mountain..... life is a funny ol' game

 

I am going to have to obliterate than wall that I have put up in front of me and learn to trust someone. That is not going to be easy.

I am going to have to learn to communicate better.

I am going to have to start thinking about other peoples needs and wants.

I am going to have to learn not to be so black and white in my thinking.

I am going to have to consider her feeling as well as my own.

I need to learn to consider other peoples feelings.

I am going to have to learn to ask others what they think before I make big decisions.

I need to learn to have time for her that is not related to business.

I am going to have to think before I speak.

And a few other dozen things that I have not thought about at this second.

Dear god, that is a lot of work.

 

Everything you've stated is some form of changing your mind. Why not do it now. If you demonstrated the kind of concern you know will be required, you will be very attractive.

What I was saying is I do not want a slave.

Any relationship that I have will start off as friendship.

If I wanted a mail order wife I would have one or let one of my Muslim friends give me a daughter or two.

I can see that. You can expect that the response to your honesty and openness you have received from the members of this forum to be duplicated in your life in general. We find many reasons to invest ourselves but the best one is because it is true. It is only difficult to the extent that you have not decided what you want.

 

not if you find someone who is by nature pretty low maintenence, easy going, capable of being happy when you're not around, which usual means they want a bit of space, too, but still loyal to you and your vision. anyone hooking up with you will have to not only love you, but what you're trying to do. too many people don't realize that those two things are actually inextricably intwined.

i knew a woman once who married a hunter and spent the next ten years trying to make him quit hunting. what a complete waste of their time.
