men should date fat chicks

i got one, too. but i'm unbearably sexy, smart, fun and nice.

 

men will always date whoever suits their taste.... more desperate men will date uglier women

 

i know a bunch of my guy friends who like bigger girls.
the guy i'm with now has a thing for bigger chicks, and i'm a petite girl (5'4, 100 lbs) and he always tells me that i should try and put on some weight and all that. it's kinda weird to hear someone say "you need to gain weight" in a world that is obsessed with skinny people.

but i agree that men should go for whoever they're attracted to.. and you should see people for what's inside (sounds lame, i know). i don't feel bad for the fat chicks that can't get a dude because they have such low self esteem about their weight and do nothing about it. i know a couple big girls that have the best personalities and love their size, and they can get a lot of guys!

 

Very good point - if bigger women feel insecure, then men will pick up on that (we DO have some empathy and intuition ladies). If a bigger woman feels fine with being big, all power to her!

But men won't change just cause you said so
That's like me saying "women should date more fat men" or "women should be thinner so men find them more attractive".

 

Judging from the responces to this thread, if guys dated more fat chicks, the self-confidant ones will be unaffected and those fat women with a poor self image will continue in that state, but now have dates. (Will their poor self image lead to them putting out more often than their confident sisters?)

It sounds like fat women getting a good self image would improve the lot of womankind much more than guys changing their dating habits. (Perhaps a bit of the chicken-egg thing creeps in here.)

As a matter of fact, improved their body image would help skinny women from becoming anorexic.

It sounds like convincing women to like their own bodies would have a more profound effect than convincing men to date heavy women. (Or does that egg laying chicken invalidate up my conclusion?)

BTW, as a group, do lesbians show a preference to a particular body type? How closely do the physical charactarisitics prefered by lesbians match those characaristics that men are attracted to?

 

MikeE, I am bisexual, and I can assure you that I'm nothing like a man, nor or my preferences anything like that of a man.
Every woman (les, bi, straight) is different, and every man (gay, bi, straight) is different when it comes to sexual preference. Some people like skinny people, other larger ones, and some like just about everything.

at any rate, i tend to sway more towards the bigger girls anyway. you know, the ones who aren't afriad to drink that beer and have some pizza when we're at the football game and stuff.

 

Personality counts as well... also, women can be pretty in any shape...

I like bigger women but my sister takes that to meen I'll fuck a whale. She's forever setting me up (with out warning me) with friends of hers who are huge shapeless blobs, and it's not as if they'd be fuckable if they lost the flab they're just ugly. We Irish are not a pretty country so it's not like the standards are high. anyway I suspect that some undatable women use fat as an excuse rather than admit that they may be dull as hell or unpleasant. Oh and if you're the type who sets people up try and show a photo first or a facebook page cos it's hurtfull when people see each other and reel.
