I used to be a heathen! In the literal sense of the word 'heathen' = 'one who lives on a heath'. I lived on a heath; that means I was a heathen, but fortunately, thats a long time ago.

Pagan? Maybe in a previous life... I can't quite recall.
But I didn't come in here to harass Christians. God forbid! Meerly pointing out the origin of the term 'heathen'.

 

BBB, being that you live in the U.K. and therefore you probably eat heath bars, I think that would make you a heathen.

 

I know Jesus councils "don't cast your pearls before swine" but I am unaware of what happened to Joseph when he shared his dreams and visions. Please share what happened when he did?

Constantine was like that, A pagan who converted to christianity - he made it into the state religion of the Roman empire. Don't think he did a great deal to encourage respect for pagans/heathens though.

Although actually, nowerdays, I live in a village the name of which originally meant 'priest's fields'. So I guess thats a redeeming factor.

indeed it says that....wat happened to joseph.......god gave hima vision that all his brothers will bow down to him,and he wud b leader,his brothers were offended by this and threw him into a pit,and disowned him and told theyre father that he was dead.
they later sold him as a slave,joseph also ended up in prison.
but never the less,joseph still kept bein faithful to god,believeing god to come through in his circumstance.and like the vision god had shown him,he became leader and his brothers all bowed down at his feet

 

Don't know about anyone else, but I'm a level 5 Christian; I just slayed the dudgeon master in the Hall of Pain, and attained the Sword of Glory, so I was able to progress on to this higher level

In fact, wasn't it a well they threw joseph into?
And later on because Joseph 'reveals his visions' Egypt is saved from the 7 years famine.
But if we take away all the intermediate stages between Joseph 'revealing his visions' to his brethren, and the end of your version of the story, it looks like actually, by revealing his visions, he set in motion a chain of events which ended quite well for both him, his brothers and the Egyptians.
So perhaps its not a good story to use to back up your reluctance to speak of visions and so on.

 

God wishes us... in fact, that is how we are so designed, is too think big, to celebrate big, to shake rattle and roll wherever we please and in so doing we will have the ultimate cosmic experience of having metaphorically the sexual experience with God... indeed, whatever joy or love we experience, is an expression of a sexual relationship with God... He is the enjoyer, we are the enjoyed... to be fucked up by God is the be all and end all in life

 

you are so so so wrong arlia, christianity is a computer game... we are given parameters and dynamics to play the game and we play the game until "game end" or death and then we start over again continuing where we left off

 

i didnt think you were ALOUD to get all big about yourself as a christian.. isnt the point of it that god made you and you sined .. everything you think and do is a sin (virtually) so you must find jeus so you are fogiven for your sins. Because those who beleive are forgive... as long as you feel humble and small in the knowlege god exists then he's happy with you :S .... sounds like a school bully to me.
