you say MDMA is part hallucinogen, part entactogen (touch feels good) and part empathogen (you connect with people, open up, etc)
so do you consider things like LSD, mushrooms, and 2ce to be purely hallucinogens, because i experience empathy and entactogenic effects on them as well. probably not as strong as MDMA though?

 

Very good point. I mean I can try and break this down to death if you want but as you know words don't really do these experiences justice. There is some overlap between them I would say but, I find LSD for instance, for the most part to be a very internal experience and while i can open up a bit, i usually just don't have the same overwhelming acceptance and curiousity of the other person as I do on MDMA. I don't necessarily not enjoy their company I just feel LSD makes me question my own personality and what not. Like I have a guard up. MDMA for me just has the ability to take a random stranger and just make me have complete interest and curiousity about this person's life and being and be myself without it SEEMING artificial like coke. I've also took MDMA with people i was friends with for awhile and learned LOTS of new things about them. None of those hallucinogens you mentioned seem to have the ability to catalyze quite that level of openness. I would say the headspace is most similar to 2ce of those that you mentioned.
