Then it shouldn't be hard for you to post a link to the information you think is so important.

That appears to be in Spanish yet your previous quote was in English, no link to an English translation? And if one isn't available then your quote isn't quite a quote, it's a qualified quote. Who did the translation?

I'd like a link to this:

    Actually I found this:

    http://www.keeptexasmoving.com/index.php/news/In_Keeping_with_Public_Wishes,_SH_121_Private_Procurement_Formally_Canceled

Which is excellent news, but not widely reported. Thanks for bringing it to my attention it proves one thing that public opinion can make a difference. I don't believe that those originally behind this project have given up... only that they are rescheduling it to fit more inline with election politics. More reason to stay aware and prepared to respond.

Sorry on dialup, I am actually working class. Navigation buttons don't always load, especially when Flash intros are used. I think the TDT quote listed above verifies your premise that construction hasn't started and Cintra's contract was cancelled.

Doesn't surprise me, there was outrage about it on the internet when it first leaked. I am surprised to find out that we actually do have a voice.

Cheney must be as happy about this as he was about the Dubai port control issue.

Keep in mind that this is all being done WITHOUT congressional oversight, so when cadcruzer talks about it being "approved," it proves he really doesn't have a clue about this project at all. Why do you think most people outside of the Texas area are completely clueless about this?

I doubt the congress is overseeing hardly anything. But it's amazing that public opinion does have an impact, more than elected representatives. I am enheartened. We do have a voice!

Why is that Rat? You preach non voting. Places/sites like this allow us a forum to inform the voters, that can influence policy, because all of the constitution hasn't been lost yet. The little man still has a vote.

If we didn't they wouldn't spend so much on marketing to the masses.

I don't preach non voting. Quite the contrary. I think people should make their own decisions based on what they feel is right. I am not here to dictate to people what they should and should not do as that is completely up to them. I personally don't vote because I feel that it plays into their hands since they control the political process and give us the choice between heads and tails. I feel this has been going on for a long time, and now it's all the much easier for them with the advent of electronic black-box voting. I think that for a change to happen, it needs to be from OUTSIDE of their system. After all, they own the voting machines, and we know how easy it is for them to rig elections. As long as people go to the polls thinking they have a say in who they elect, nothing will change because they will keep falling for the same scam everytime as this country sinks further and further into totalitarianism. But I think a lot of people are waking up, and this is why we are seeing a quickening in their agenda.

They don't outright own us yet. We still have rights outlined by people like Washington, Jefferson, etal. . . .

Let's form a perfect union. Not one based soley on the rich getting richer, let's base it on protecting our nation. Let's not seek to spread or preach our government, lets set an example of prosperity and liberties that others will fight to attain just as our forefathers did.

But most of the marketing is designed to simply maintain that illusion. It has very little to do with who will win, as that is planned years in advance -- especially at the federal level. It's clear that Hillary is the shoe in for president in '08, as the media continues to ignore anyone who poses any threat to the owners of that media.

I don't care about Hillary, most of the candidates don't speak to my family or needs I say:

They didn't ignore our outrage over this highway and the selling of it to foreign interests. They aren't ignoring our outrage over proposed war with Iran, or GW woukld have done it this summer, every month those flat tops sit in the area is money down the drain, something worries and impacts them. It's time to stop nay saying and discover the motivating factors...in this we can make an impact.

We can make a difference Rat...and maybe you and your sort are part of the solution. You spout your conspiracy theories which I don't entirely buy into...but they force me to research what's going on. And in doing so I find out what the media hasn't reported.

    Power to the internet!
