you gotta turn restore off, not just turn down how much space it gets.

also try going through each folder on your hd, and seeing how much space it takes up. be sure to do hidden folders too.

 

alright but the thing is i've checked all the folders and they're all really small, no pictures or documents or anything





how would i find the hidden folders?

Make them visible...

 

in any explorer window,

Tools --> folder options --> view tab--> check the "show hidden files and folders"

i think,

that the folder that had my 13 gig of sys restore files, was a hidden one called _SYSTEM or something

 

but where was it?

 

C:\_SYSTEM

for the last time no! its a brand new computer, no videos or songs or crap on it!

 

go to my computer, right click on the drive in question and go to properties
tell me what the used and free space says
then, click on disk clean up and see if you can delete anything to free up some space
also, how many hard drives does it say you have? it could be that your hd is partitioned into several smaller drivers

i already did disk cleanup and that didn't help

it has .93 gb's free now. it has like.. 78 used
