Oh, and hunting controld the population ebcause have you ever heard news reports of over population where hunting has been restricted. I have. It depletes the food supply so the over poplated animals starve and many get ticks and other diseases. Snipers are usually called in to cull the herd. literally.

 

Wow this 1st school shooting in Canada in how long happens and the anti-gun lobby jumps all over it.


My sympathy for the people of Montreal though.

This one talked about controlled pbulic hunts which are good because the meat isn't wasted after the animal is shot in most instances, whereas I know with some other methods the meat is wasted which is a shame.

Not at all. I never really knew how much truth there was in that excuse for hunting. I always thought it was just a lame excuse for people to hunt.

 

But still, I wouldn't hunt for sport...I may if it was for meat.

 

Maybe its a good thing living so isolated in the green in New Zealand, we don't get things like school shootings. We dont even get fights in our school. Its really weird but at the same time sorry to hear about the shooting. Peace to all invoved

no, i go to an all girls school that isn't really posh or anything we just don't see the point in fighting. we just let it go you know? 1 step closer to creating a better future for our earth i think of it as.

I just read an article about the shooting today, and I was wondering about Canada's gun control laws. Mr Mescalito, or anyone from Canada, what are the gun laws like there? I heard they are more strict than over here but I really don't know.

There is so far one casualty. A 20 years old female student plus about twenty injuries . Out of the twenty injuries, six are considered very important and they all have undergone surgery.

The Montréal Police SWAT killed the shooter but some think that there might be a second shooter ..

All of this was put in by the Liberals and it cost over 5 billion dollars.

To but a gun you have to havce a PAL (Possession and Aquisition liscence). You also need to register said gun. To get a PAL you have to take a course not unlike Driver's Training, but obviously it is a little more intense. Hand guns are severly restricted in Canada and it is illegal to carry them. If you have one it has to be locke up at ALL times except when in use at the firing range.

Or some such like that. I like the idea od the PAL and registry, but the registry in effect is almost moot (unless you kill someone with a registered gun, or if it is stolen) because criminals won't register their illegal guns. They are smarter than that

Burt yeah, I rememebr the school shooting out this way (well, in our province) about a year after Columbine. It was pretty scary.

 

Yeah I have a prob w/Folks that talk out their ass when it comes to firearms...
especially ones that then proceed to demonstrate their Intellectual superiority w/the use of 'fuck'.

why don't you explain to us less educated Folks

• all the uses of small arms
• why shooting isn't a sport
• what Human mental/physical attributes are not involved in shooting.

It's just so crazy...I was in my history class when the class moron talked about it...it's hard to believe. My girlfriend's cousin's fiancee goes to Dawson...I just hope she's alright. We (my girlfriend) tried to reach some family, but so far, no news. It's probably a good sign, I guess...
