And you call yourself a Rasta!? Wow man ... you sound no better than the politicians responsible for these wars.

I'm just 18 and I've never been in war, but I've dealt with wanting to kill myself in the past, and it's not something to go about talking lightly. Suicide is playing Russian roulette with the eternity of your soul. We're all people, not numbers.

Also, if you followed Ron Paul then you'd know that after World War II, when all the troops came back and the federal government went through massive cuts, there was an economic boom. End the wars overseas, bring all the troops home, cut $1 trillion, spend the money here.

Hmmm yes because we have the same amount of troops fighting today as WW2 and the economic state is in the same condition. The 50's only seemed like a boom after 20 years of depression. I forgive you, you're young. (vote ron paul)

I didn't think there would be such a huge backlash to this and a little rattled when I saw all the comments this morning. Obviously as a vet you were strong enough and had a will to live after service and are a functioning person. Those who were not killed themselves.

I guess to put in perspective lets say you have 5 pitbulls that have been fighting for the last 4 years in the Iraq fighting pits. All they have seen is killing and have killed other dogs because the masters told them to and some just for the fun of it. Maybe one of those pitbulls can be rehabilitated and adopted by a family and live a normal life while the others are too far gone and are put down out of mercy (but would kill themselves if they had opposable thumbs). This swift death saves people back in America from getting savaged by the out of control pit bulls. Everyone wins.

    Make sense?

If we didn't go to war in Iraq and Afghanistan I don't think my freedom would be threatened (even Ron Paul agrees with that!). Last I checked there was not draft. Every solider volunteered to go into hostile combat for multiple years. Do you think most went to defend freedom and America? No. They went for the college degree the military and taxpayers would give them if they survive. So pretty much mercenaries fighting for 60k worth of education. The only difference between our soldiers and blackwater is that they are getting paid way less.

I was talking about all wars , as in wars in general , America is not the only country that is or has been fighting a war .I am talking about freedom in general . Let me spell it out for you , a soldier puts his life on the line .If his government pays for his education or to learn a trade that is small price to pay , that soldier could lose his life .So is eduction for your life is that a fair trade , no its a chance soldiers take .

Do you think when they discharge soldiers it's all over , thanks and goodbye .Well its not we have to live with what we saw and with what we did every flippen day of or lives , so who are you to to look down on us .

Just as i respect your right not to fight in the army or respect your rights to voice your opinion on this forum without dis'ing others please show the same respect for those who gave their lives and left their sanity in forgein countries in the wars that governments around the world have started.

No !!!!! It doesn't make sense to compare these men to dogs. I can't believe you would even go there.

America is not the only place that this forum runs,as in the World Wide Web. So when you make your generalizations you need to remember that a lot of people who are on here are not Americans and that other countries are at war or have been at war and they have vetrans also.

    riiiight!
which says you realize that you DO seem like a dick.
    no
    again with the "but"
Ah- so it's an economic consideration. How about proposing an industry that provides that service? I think the Nazis set up an industry during the 30's and 40's- an infrastructure serviced by rail, nerve gas, incineration and disposal services... hey jobs jobs jobs!
If you think this is such a great idea I strongly suggest that you run for elected office with this economic and social remediation plan as your campaign centerpiece... well, maybe not. I'm afraid someone would actually vote for you.

It takes a remarkable amount of audacity to expect any degree of agreement with what you propose here but I seriously doubt that was the purpose of this post. The manner in which you've chosen to argue with folks taking offense at what has to be one of the most repugnant things I've seen here in a while suggests that you're getting your jollies provoking the people here. That would meet the threshold of trolling- which is against the posting guidelines you agreed to when you signed up. Please drop this ridiculous argument or post elsewhere.

I'd certainly have hoped that people wouldn't dignify this kind of garbage with a reply. Frankly it's disappointing to see otherwise... but understandable. These kinds of posts are calculated to get people all riled up so why would they bother rewarding the folks who make them?

I find it hard to beleive that some people have no respect for the Vetrans. People who think that we would be better off if the ones with problems commited suicide. If we all thought like that then why would we just stop with the vetrans. Lets take out the elderly-people with mental problems-anybody that has any kind of disability-hell we might as well go for the homeless people too. They are all just costing us money.
What about the people that need welfare assistance? After that lets go back and go through the list again and maybe start with people that have a low IQ. Where do we stop?
What I am trying to say is that your ideas or opinion sucks. You are entitiled to your opionion but I do not see anybody in here buying into it.
