Besides "Passion of the Christ" i have to say:

"Catwoman" (my wife wanted to see it. The movie was ten years too late to really capitalise on the batman train)

"Armegeddon" Yeah right the govt. is going to hire rough necks to destroy an approching astroid.

"Daredevil" comic sucked.. why make a movie out of it.

"A series of unfortunate events" I liked the sureal look it had.. but the movie blew big floppy donkey dick.

"Napoleon Dynamite" hands down, a four year old could write a better script, than that hunk of garbage. It was the most wasted hour and a half of my life. The movie does not go in sequence to keep the person watching the movie interested.

as many have said...Napoleon Dynamite was overrated. I didn't think it sucked though. I just thought it was stupid funny.

Also, I really don't understand pulp fiction at all. I thought it seemed just like a bunch of stuff stuck together with crack and heroin and guns and violence everywhere...

Napoleon Dynamite is definitely one of the most overrated movies I know of....

I liked it until people started overusing quotes and stuff, then it got really annoying.

.. i wuld like to add one more movie that I wasted my time on last night: Open Water.

THAT movie blew. I don't care if it was based on a "true story" or not. It was way too overrated. nice nude scene, but the movie blew.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre or any horror movie or remake that's been out for like the past 20 years.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre was pioneering and brilliant. You need to think of it in the context of a time where there haven't been any of the horror films since.

I think the most over-rated film I can think of is Moulin Rouge.

Have you seen any of the sequels? I haven't seen them all, but the 4th one seemed to be more of a remake than a sequel. It was titled Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation. Had Matt McConaughy and Renée Zellweger in it. No value to it in its own right but it had some good references to the original that sort of made it worth watching. Apparntly numbers 2 and 3 have their own little story developments in them, but there's never been enough documented about them, or even the 4th one to make me think that they're worth watching.

Clockwork Orange. I think a lot of people claim to love it, just because it is SO over the top. It literally made me ill. I am not saying it was a bad movie, just a little too graphic for me.

Sexual violence is not my cup of tea.

But you've reminded me that one day I WILL read the book. It's supposed to be bloody brilliant. :)

Th Village. All that hype and it was barely a thriller. That's the only reason I don't like it that much.

    Overrated? Dunno ---

    Easy Rider

    Liquid Sky

I dunno most movies aren't really rated highly. Star Wars I was crap and everyone thinks so. Something that is truly awful getting props where they aren't deserved is getting to be really really rare.

    All The Matrix movies
    All new Star Wars movies
    All gangster movies
    All teen comedies
    All superhero movies
All movies that were rated horribly low but not quite as low as deserved (e.g. bad movies)
    and many more. :)
