Peter Frampton. Did feel he was brilliant when he came out and Frampton Comes Alive was something that was cutting edge at the time. That being the key, at the time. How many times can he try to re-release this damn thing. I would be happy to not hear it for another 10 years so I could go back and listen and enjoy it again.

 

Yeah.. I was around for it. It was good for about a minute. Kurt wasn't revolutionary, he wasn't even that good at composing. The world is better with him gone. Peace and love!

I certainly don't think any Pink Floyd song's are overrated in the scope of music. I mean there is so so so much crap out there that gets popular.

In regards to the Pink Floyd catalog though I agree 'Another Brick in the Wall Part 2' is overrated.

 

Stairway to fucking Heaven. Yes it was good the first 20 or so times. But I've read a few too many 25 page dissertations on why it is the greatist song of all time. Fuck even Robert Plant hates that song. Honestly as a joke I want to start a band that only does Stairway to Heaven, Freebird, and Hotel California. If done right that can easily be 3 sets worth of music.

I also have to agree with the original poster "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is an overrated piece of shit. As for the next poster after him I WAS THERE. after about 3 months I started to realise how much Nirvana sucked. And had been listening to punk for about 5 years. Nirvana to me was just a bland watered down version of everything else that influenced it.
