Most Overrated Song Of All Time?

That Broken Bells "High Road" song is a really good current song, that i think is on the charts.


....eh nevermind just checked and it's not. Seems like all pop, rap/r and b, country and 'hey soul sister' by train.

 

He said 'any song'. That doesn't mean he doesn't know any of their songs. That means he thinks all of them are equally overrated.

Christ, it could have been that I'm just not sure which one is the most popular, and therefor the most overrated.

Lol, I did talk to you directly, but then duck chalenged my comment so I stated my actual opinion to him, replying to you in refrence to his comment about my comment to your post wouldn't make sense.

And that was my point, if you can't name the song that you think is overrated, then it obviously isn't overrated (by the people surrounding you of course, it is probably by someone somewhere else) and you are just expressing hate of a band you don't really know.

 

Hmm, but that's not what he said at all. He said

showing that he didn't know the band or song he was insulting, if he had said they were overrated as a band, that would be a matter of opinion, and I wouldn't argue it. Opinion is subjective, but he wasn't expressing a real opinion, but instead dislike of a song that he doesn't know.

 

Well,
"Wish you were Here"
"Money"
"Another Brick in the Wall" and
"Have a Cigar"
are all really overrated.

As for which one is the most overrated, well... which one do you like the best?

 

how is Pigs overrated? It was not even a single and it gets minimal radio play and probably at the time it was released none because punk and disco were popular.

I wasn't around during the time of Classic Rock, but I do listen to a Classic Rock station and I have a general idea of the music from back then.

I have to say "The Joker" by Steve Miller Band. It is overplayed and even among my friends that are around my age they all like it. D: I can't stand the song, it is perhaps the worst thing I have ever heard.

In fact I don't really care for Steve Miller Band as a whole or even Led Zeppelin. Both of those bands annoy me. I actually like Stairway To Heaven a whole lot for some reason, but the rest of Led Zeppelin's songs are incredibly annoying and overplayed. I don't see why everybody loves them.

I'd go even further and say that a lot of Classic Rock in general is overrated. There are a lot of awesome songs, but there are a lot of songs that just should never have reached the surface during my time.

Anything by Nirvana or Oasis. I have spent enough time in youth hostels to see guitar night. It happens like this:

One person staying there has a guitar and is a pretty good player. He gets out his guitar and starts playing. People gather around and maybe 2 or 3 other people know how to play. The guitar get's passed around like a newborn baby and then it gets passed to one Douchebag who has only been playing a couple of months and he promptly plays the entire Nirvana and Oasis catalog and sounds better than the original not because he is particularly gifted just because the songs are retarded simple. This impresses the shit out of the hot Czech girl who barely speaks English (Funny most of Nirvanas lyrics sound like Cobain barely spoke English come to think of it). Next thing you know all of the beer and weed you just put into your body start to take hold so you go to your room to try and sleep it off but you can't because the talentless douchebag who knows all of the shitty Nirvana and Oasis tunes is fucking the living shit out of the Czech girl who barely speaks English on the bunk above you.
