Discomfort! I imagine myself not doing certain things I need to do and visualise how crappy my life would look as a consequence.
Exercising in the morning is one of the best things I've ever done for myself. Granted, its been hard to really get a routine going but I do manage to wake up an hour early at least a couple of times a week and work out lol. And it really gets my mind and body feeling right for the rest of the day
Not sure what IRA ? I can only guess it is like the UK retirement pension??? Be mindful of your eye, if traveling by motorcycle. xxx Inspirational stuff. x
Get your Doctor to prescribe a morphine patch for you matey - it'll take the edge off any pain you're in.
IRA is an Individual Retirement Account. I rolled my 401Ks into it. A 401K is an account that you can invest pre-tax dollars into directly from your paycheck, and in some cases an employer *may* match a certain percentage of your contribution. So, it's an investment vehicle, with tax benefits, and you may get some contribution from your employer. Rolling it into a IRA was just a way to keep it tax-deferred. Now I can begin to draw from it, and only have to pay normal tax on it as income.
In ad much as a sunny morning is motivational, a WARM sunny morning will really make me pick up the pace. This morning was clear with a beautiful sunrise, but it was only 12 degrees F. I have high hopes of it warming above freezing this afternoon.
Cool. I'm working on the motivation to do a road trip. Ride to Mexico then all around there exploring. Maybe punch into countries further south. Problem with exploring here is the high cost of lodging. Sure we can camp some places but the weather isn't always conducive to camping and riding on a trip and it can get miserable without lodging. It's cheaper and more interesting for me to travel in Latin America. I've managed to keep three of my bikes running and road legal. But I've just got the extremes covered; big fast street bike unsuitable for dirt roads and two dirt bikes not suitable for long distance or carrying. Looks like I'll be digging into the accounts to get a suitable mid-weight adventure oriented bike.
I'm not in pain folks, when I say 'discomfort' I mean SELF-IMPOSED psychological discomfort as a means of motivation.
