The bike gangs also beat up and killed a few hippies.

If you do a little research via the San Jose Mercury News of '84 you just might find the article about the skinheads issuing a death list with hippies at the top of the list. One homeless hippie was burned to death shortly thereafter. Then I saw one skinhead threaten a Hells Angel who told the skinheads the Haight Ashbury was under the protection of the HAs still same as the 60's and within a week there were no more skinheads in San Francisco.

During that same year I watched cops chatting buddy buddy with the skinheads and giving tem money.

    Wow thats interesting

Also carrying a gun is a big responsibility, if you don't know if you can refrain from using that fire arm all because of road rage, you should probably not own said firearm. That is not directed towards you ranger,

but I do wonder ranger, where the hippies under the HA protection out of the goodness of their hearts for free, or because they bought drugs from the HA? Gotta protect customers and what not

I'll not deny that. Each chapter of each club had/has it's own personality. One thing I saw more than once was a goat roper or redneck thinking he/they had caught a peace loving 'hippie' grab a long haired biker and learn caution. That little bit of hesitation the next time they were tempted to go 'hippie hunting' saved life or two.

( 'hippie hunting' , a popular sport in many parts of the country. "Easy Rider" was dedicated to a friend who was shot in the back and who's funeral I attended.)

I like motorcycles and want to know more about them, thinking about taking a mechanics class. The things I don't get about clubs is they are supposed to be about freedom, and brotherhood, but often times there are internal wars, and they even try to take your bike if you try to leave. Me I'd rather just ride alone, freedom of the road, wind blowing through my hair, enjoying the sunset, maybe stop by a stream and fish for a while, while taking a nap leaned down in the seat, hat over my head, and a small fire.

Its obvious some of you have never rode motorcycles. I have been cut off, Tried to run me off the road, People open their door as you pass etc. Then if you do follow them they think its 'you're' fault and come at you with a tire iron, Im gonna blow the fuckers head off.

There are idiots out there that think its fun to fuck with solo bikers and more so if you're the only one on the road. Its not like I would pull up with it in hand, But if they got all high and mighty and came at me, I wont hesitate to defend myself and teach a lesson at the same time.

But like I said, That's why I don't ride on road anymore. Plus the fact, Their vehicle can be considered a 'weapon' if harm was done. A bike is no match for trucks and SUV's, But my 9mm is and will and I have that right to defend myself under as well.

I do know what you are talking about. When you talked about the gun , I thought you meant like you can just pull it out and shoot, but by all means if they come at you with a tire iron and shit, defend yourself, its your right, that is responsible carry. Sorry I was imagining you if someone cut you off to ride up beside and start blasting

....we.....and when I say we I don't mean patch holders....in general people that have experience riding motorcycles.....we look at it like this...its scary as fuck when some asshole almost kills you......often one must take dangerous evasive action....up on the side walk....cross into oncoming traffic.....etc etc............so when that happens we feel that the person in the car deserves to be equally scared on the same level............

for instance......dude passed me on the inside of the lane causing me to veer out of my lane and bounce off the car beside me.....

scared the fuck out of me......I chased that fucker up a main road in downtown Toronto until he tried to escape down a sidestreet....

whoops.....construction.....sorry dude.....I jumped off my bike and opened his passenger door all the way around until it hit his front fender [le car].....

then I grabbed him by the shirt and gave him a little shake when he started crying....fuckin dick......

my leg was sore for weeks cause of that asshole not knowing it is illegal to pass a motorcycle within his lane

fucking morons always think because you are to riding to the left of center its an invitation to pass you .....they don't know its a safety measure called ''occupying the blocking position'' and its mandatory where I live

X2. They deserve to feel that same 'life flash' as the motorcyclist. When they get high and mighty 'like its you're fault' you were in a empty lane and you should move for them.

Here you can get their plate number, and the cops make them pay a fine for violating the law,and make them pay you for what happened. Wouldn't you rather have money, and him learn a lesson by having to pay a shitload?

In some cases I have seen men will take multiple physical ass kickings, the only way to teach them and get them to stop sometimes, is to take it out of their wallet, not their ass?

    It's not about hugs.

Again, this is another issue of not having your rights violated.
