How was this? I almost watched it the other day but I dont like to look at Tom Yorke. Something about him..
I thought it was decent, basically an extended music video to me. It probably could be analyzed and critiqued from a cinematic perspective, I can't really gauge it's merit from that perspective, it's quite artsy fartsy.
The Escape - it was meh. Could have been so much better. Hate it when a movie has such potential, and then it's as though the writers got tired and just stopped being creative. It's a film about a couple living in London, with their two kids. The wife is a stay at home mom, and she is bored with her life, saddened by her loss of identity as a wife and mom. Her husband turns her over in the mornings, fucks her for his own pleasure, and then gets up to go to work. Rinse and repeat, day after day. She feels used, and useless. She decides to 'escape' ...but it really wasn't much of an escape. I thought it would be way more riveting than it turned out to be. I like films that take place in foreign countries, so that's what hooked me in.
Zombie movies tend to leave me cold, but this is a fantastic exception to the rule. The girl in this movie is amazing in the role, the writing could not possibly be better, the special effects are spot on, and the lead actors strut their stuff.
