Just rented the newer Doctor Dolittle.

I thought how bad can it be? Robert Downey Jr., Antonio Banderas, modern CG for the animals, based on a beloved book and earlier movie...what could go wrong?

    Turns out everything.
    Terrible, terrible movie.
Back to watching old Charlie Chan movies.

    A couple of action-orientated films.

Brooklyn's Finest (2009 & directed by Antoine Fuqua)
End of Watch (2012, David Ayer)

The Gift -- it was better than I expected. About a guy in his 40's who has a high school classmate come to visit him out of nowhere, and the intrigue proceeds from there...

I plugged in my DVD of "Transformers" the other day. I didn't watch the entire thing, but I spent about 30 minutes watching and listening to it. It was a good one, I thought. I think it came out around 2007. Yea, July 3, 2007.

Both were good. I'd recommend them.

The Quick and the Dead (1995)
I just watched it.OK I know it is not new. It was watchable but I thought there was a bit too much footage of Sharon Stone. It also seemed to be borrowing a fair bit from Once Upon A Time in the West.
