Sound Tribe sector 9 is cool when your on acid.

Grateful dead is great high, tripping, or completely sober.

Oh yeah...best music to trip to would be Sigur Ros...they're an Icelandic Band who invented the word "hopelandic". It means that they sing in a made up language......even if you're sober, the music is just as epic and beautiful as when you're tripping face! I recommend I Gaer or Saeglopur as the first songs you listen to by them....

Or try "How it ends" by Devotchka. Bangin' song for tripping, smoking, fucking...anything you can think of.

    enjoy!

Explosions in the sky! They are an amazing band but have no vocals/singing. I think that's what makes them very good to listen to while tripping haha. :)

when i listened to the album again the next day it sounded nothing like i thought it did

It all depends on the substance and nature of the trip...

Sometimes I like to trip to chilled out stuff like Shpongle, Burial or Boards of Canada, other times allowing my mind to be raped by the likes of Venetian Snares etc. is the only way.

Indian classical ragas, on sitar, with tabla accompaniment, while watching the sun rise.

Native American pow wow music, the sun dance, etc.. It's very hypnotic.
