Bastard[IMG]. I'm still happy as fuck with these though. I never listen to music with them on max, not even close because I've no reason to. The £80 ($160 or something) they cost is waay worth it. When I got these and felt the bass it blew me away as I was not expecting them to be so good. After hearing them, a friend of mine also bought them and many of his friends have as well.[IMG]

^ yea they are great computer speakers for what they do

imo for anyone who wants a dope setup for their computer, go out and buy an older home theatre receiver and speakers used and hook them up to your computer, the components will probably be alot better quality then most lower end comp speakers, and u should be able to get the setup plus a sub for under 150$

Because there's more important things to spend money on. Plus, just because it's $3000, doesn't mean it's better than a $1000 stereo. Paying for the name-brand, more than anything.

I just think it's really ignorant to spend that much money on something so meaningless, and when people do so, it's usually so they can brag about it.

Not to say that is why dj bought the shit, but that's usually the case when people make such a purchase.

I spent 2 months researching every single component, and saved like 1500$... I guarantee 90% of the people who see the brands of the components i've bought have never even heard of them, and they dont do any marketing outside the internet, so 1) I didnt buy for the name brand

    2) Buying Cheap Electonics costs you more in the long run

    3) I built the sub cabinet and entire home theatre room on my own

and what exactly would be a "more important" thing to spend it on?

there are people on avsforum.com who have 300,000$ home theatre's

i dunno, but i really dont have much better to spend 3000$ on, you cant really invest 3000$ in any sort of logical way, and I wanted a good sound system for once, the quality of this over anything friends etc. who come to my place have heard is worth the price alone imo.

I might spend lots of money on shit like this, but guaranteed i give more than the majority of people here as well, last year alone i donated nearly 1500$ to 2 different local charities [Canuck Place, and Childrens Hospital telethons]

my money is fairly well tied up in alot of things, so when i have the opportunity to buy toys like this, i usually get the best of which I can feasibly afford.

hahaha the travolta pic was a nice touch.

I wanna smoke in that room. It looks like the perfect environment.

And I'm not trying to knock you for spending that much on a stereo; it's just something I could never bring myself to do.
