my college is OVER too!!!!!!!

Broadcast Journalism... not really for me

 

It allowed me to break free of my upbringing and meet some interesting people...the school part wasn't my focus at the time, struggled through a good bit of the time

as a thing to just have, well its good to just have obtained it for many murky reasons

 

I have a love hate relationship with college. I love learning new things, and having discussions on various topics and issues. I hate grades and teachers that demand the regurgitation of information.

enjoy the time away from school - you're free to climb the mountains, explore the depths of sea, etc...have fun while doing it

 

That's cool Cat, I'm glad you're doing what you want. I'm in my first semester and thinking about dropping out myself, starting a business, and just starting my life now. It seems pointless here.

Unless you take a job that sends you to travel...and in style at that. Miss those days.

 

I don't know...I was a liberal arts major and had to take A LOT of world culture. It will be awesome when I do get to travel to know a lot about the countries I see. I also come from a european family and most of them think college is a waist...until I started getting jobs people without degrees can't get.

 

blame administrations, boards of trustees, and a culture that puts bizdroidism ahead of the kind of world real people, places and things have to actually live in for that one.

i've never met an actual educator who didn't feel the same way. even the ones that had somehow gotten brainwashed into believing that's the only way it could ever be. i mean really met, not just like saw from a distance to where all you see are appearances and can't really know.

my objection is to the way information is controlled, and only doled out to those who are willing to maintain an appearance of not being too likely to alter the status quo.
