Anyway, that's why I said ideally. I think if I had a kid I would simply watch and cater to my little baby's vocations.

If he/she takes to something competitive or artistic as an extra-curricular activity then I'll suggest something more formal.

But, I understand what you're saying. You don't want your kids to be running around like the suits on Wall St. at age 6.

Notice I'm talking as if I already have a child or it's a foregone conclusion.
