...but, s/he's RIGHT on the front page...

But, the bulldogs are adorable, guys. And yeah, bulldogs CAN be extremely protective. My boy is bullmastiff, boxer, rottie and lab... his mama was a purebred bullmastiff. He's around 100lbs but he's the biggest retard EVER. I *think* he'd rip someone's throat out if he had to (especially for me), but he'd probably be terrified to do it, haha.

I read a story about a year or so ago, about this guy (older guy, 40's-50's?) that was mugged. He had two pit bulls, and the guys that jumped him had guns. One of the pit bulls, I think an older female, went at the guys and did quite a bit of damage, but was shot to death. Even after seeing that, the other dog went after the guys, was also killed, and the guys finally fucked off.

And to think, alll over North America (and other countries now, too) they're trying to BAN everything on the list of "few dogs that, even untrained, would take a bullet instead of cowering behind their owner". Er, excuse me, I meant "dangerous breeds"...

Seems like some of the people around here have some cool dogs, so, anyone have any problems with these laws? I think they tried to pass in BC, but failed miserably. No surprise. When it passed in Ontario, a lot of dogs were brought to BC to avoid being euthanized... guess they knew it would never pass here. :)

i was walking with my cousin one day (right outside of san antonio, tx) and his dog and 2 dudes came out of the woods, one with a baseball bat, one with a lead pipe. they were about to take all our shit then they saw my cousins dog, half pitbull, half choc lab, they just turned right back around and went back into the woods

This is how fast she is.[IMG]

And this is her when shes angry.[IMG]

She may look cute and inconspicuous...but she is one firce and crazy ass dog.

Just so you know, she wasent attacking that dog, it was just annoying her so she lunged at it, but didnt even touch it. Its actually my other dog, just a little sibbling biccering.

under the Pets To Giveaway section of the classifieds of our newspaper.. i called.. waited over a week.. thought it was gone then i got a phone call.. she said i sounded like the nicest person that called so i got him.. she said a ton of people called and looked at the dog and she could tell they wanted to fight him.... he is unbelievably smart.. i would love to breed him with another OEB.. then breed them with a Black Lab.. i think it could make one incredible breed.. right now he's around 70-80lbs.. 11mo.. smart dog.. listens well when hes not havin an attitude.. learned shit super fast

btw.. the lady who i got this dog from.. her house was recently royally fucked in a flood.. i dunno if its condemed.. it still looked like it was on its foundation.. but the huge fence they had for their other dogs was completely gone.. didnt get a really good look at the house

Certain Sioux tribes believed that if a sick person shared their bed with a dog, the illness would be transferred to the animal.

i've got a german shepard/golden retriever mix. she's super friendly towards me and people she knows well, but tends to easily bark at strangers (esp. men). when she barks, she has the sound and demeanor of a german shepard - usually freaks people out. I'm always saying, "oh don't worry, she's nice..." but they always back away scared.

she's very protective and has a loud bark - good to know she's there for certain situations. there are also a few "trigger" words that will set her off. they basically only make her bark and then go check something out (usually who's arriving at the house). i never meant for this to happen, but the words, "who's here?" and "go see" have been said enough in the right contexts to illicit this response.

one time, i was outside with her in the yard (live at the end of a dead-end street). i went inside to grab something, leaving her alone outside. i eventually hear barking so i run out there to find my dog barking at this old guy standing in my driveway. no matter what he did, my dog wouldn't let him budge one way or the other. had him basically pinned against this bush (barking only). he was trying to yell at her to get her to go away, so i go up (without really restraining her) and just ask the dude, "can i help you?"

he claimed he lived in the house on the next property over and was just passing through (he was pretty mad about the whole situation, too). there's a path through my yard that various people take, which doesnt bother me. all i said was, "yeah, that's cool if you wanna walk through here, just don't be surprised if she barks at you." havent seen him walk through the yard since.

    dogs rule.
