I think the craziness is probably more to do with your starting length and using twist and rip. If you had backcombed them really tightly, for example, there wouldn't be much upwards travelling left for the hairs to do. Or something. Yeh. They're cool though so
HA! I treat myself once a week to a californian selection. Supermarket sushi isn't great. LOL Didn't mean to hijack yo' thread Lux. But yeah I too have a sushi craving watashi wa sushi suki ^_^
I'm all about nigiri myself. Even have a rat named nigiri (named by my wife because he's brown with a white stomach lol) kuso..... hara heta
sushi-I can't think of anything worse! I've never tried it but bleauugh. I'm not using anything on my hair atm just water. like I said on the last page: got seaweed in my eye from using a lush shampoo bar and am afraid of them now. it hurt so bad. I use their deo's, creams and face wash though. iheartlush
LOL I meant their henna dye . Didn't know they did deo. I'm too used to dove deo's to even consider using a natural deo.
I wanted to try Lush but you're not selling it Lux! I have super sensitive eyes. I had a dream I was a sushi chef.
Nigiri is awesome. But the only nigiri I can get is omlette. Not too fond "Shit, so hungry"? My Japanese is a lil rusty. But it's cool there's someone here who seems to be as obessed with Japan as I am.
yeah, seaweed in the eyes doesn't sound fun... I'd much rather have it in my bowl/on my plate. You should have a dream that you make me a bunch of sushi and bring it to me... in fact, you should do that in real life
Lux: your locks look awesome! I love the crazy loopiness. I'm gonna go make some sushi now...I couldn't decide what to eat and you guys decided it for me.
I tried a lush bar for me dreadlings when I first gotted them in the first few months, totally unravelled every single hair So I only used the bar that once and then gave it away. Lol talking about that actually reminds me, I also got one of those clay face wash things, it stank!! Remembering the smell reminds me of the first few weeks of my uni, living away from home, ohhh and I had a huge bottle of aloe vera juice to drink, jees completely forgot about those days xD Corr nearly a year ago now... duuuude ^^ Reminising ftw ^^ Sushi? I never liked the idea of sushi... Now I'm vege going on vegan it discusts me even more xD MY brother tried to make the rice for sushi once... That was bad He chucked like 4 lemons in a little pan of the rice.. Overkill much xD
Interesting you say that. I've had some serious unravelling in one of my dreads and it happened after I switched to lush. Still on my first of two bars I got in Feb. Kinda regret it I miss the pure clean feeling bronners gives me
I'm all about eel, tuna, and salmon nigiri. you got it lol I wouldn't call myself obsessed, but knowledgeable... mostly from Japanese friends and a previous interest in Japan a few years ago. I also have a Taiwanese wife that lived in Japan for a while, so I know a few things from her as well. and I listen to a lot of Japanese music/watch a lot of anime as well.
I've never tried broners. Don't like what people say about leaving residue on your scalp and I can't be arsed paying for shipping. Especially when water does the job and thats free! I use my godiva shampoo bar as body wash now. Gave the seaweed to my dad with a warning.
I couldn't touch eel nigiri, I'd imagine it to be pretty slimy. I've never been to Japan myself but I used to have family live there and somehow I ended up with loads of penfriends. I took a language course a few years ago and the teacher was so sweet she brought us gifts every class. HA I remember at the end we all chipped in to make her a leaving card apart from one guy who ended up buying her a £90 cashmere scarf. Needless to say, the scarf overshadowed our gift. I think I had a sea weed bar. It was this free sample. Didn't lather at all. One thing I can't fault them on is their perfumes. I have no rezzy probs with da bronner's. Confuzzles me.
eel nigiri (unagi) is actually slightly cooked before its made... has more of a teriyaki taste than anything. I think you'd like it if you tried it. I've only been 'through' Japan on my way to Taipei, Taiwan. I work with 2 people from Japan that I've become good friends with. I also have a "Japanese sister" (I feel like she's blood) that now lives in Canada that I've always been really close to. I couldn't even begin to name all of my online friends that live in Japan... I bet the guy that gave her the scarf had a crush on her lol. I don't even know what a seaweed bar is lol, just know that my wife makes seaweed soup on occassion and its damn good. I don't ever plan on using Dr. Bronners just for the simple fact that its not residue free.
oh, forgot to answer your question sorry! I haven't used the henna dye since dreading I def don't think it would come out properly. It's like sand, I hate the though of having sand caked in my dreads-yaauk! I used some normal dye. garnier or something that was on special offer, it came out the perfect shade which was weird and v.lucky as my hair before had been dyed a few colours before it went that colourr.mmhm
