NO disrespect sarahrei, and I think the reasons you did it are wonderful..

But I too can somewhat understand what hollows is saying...

it almost sounds like you're saying that people who did it far too fast, or not for those reasons are dissapointing, trying to fit in to a group. I gauged my ears, they are now 4's and I did it in about 3 months. And I'm completely happy with them, and myself.

Good I'm happy that your happy with the way they turned out. Someone in this thread decided to make a big stink about nothing and made me come across worse then I am. It's not a big deal though. It's being handled.

Yeah, it did get out of hand. But everyone should be happy with their body modifications for whatever reason they did them.

 

You seem to have a good heart Sibbs, but I must disagree with you on this one point.

Years ago I had an adult friend who had himself circumcised because a doctor told him it would reduce the chance of his contracting a venereal disease. (That's what we called an STD back in the olden days.) It did not keep him from catching the clap again, but it caused substantial pain, suffering, and loss of sensation. He was not happy with his body modification.

I just think (and what I was trying to say is) that all body mods should be started with a important reason behind them be it religon, spirituality, emotional connection, memorial whatever, not just for vanity. People who only do it for the look of it end up usually being the ones that regret it.
