nah you don't need to top 'em........unless of course you want to. It will just make it more of a bush type plant. They are looking good, just keep doing what your doing! Heres a couple pics that might help ya with male/female........

sometimes............i've grown bushy ones that yeilded an oz+ per plant but have harvested some that weren't bushed out that yeilded an oz+ per plant. So really it's all in the style you want to grow............if you want to bush 'em out it takes longer but looks sooooo cool.......if you just let 'em grow normal they still look fuggin sweet and they yeild somewhat similair unless you've got your area dialed and tons of light...........then the bushes yeild lot's more!

If ya plants are 10-12 inches tall its safe to remove the main heads anything under that and ya in pro growers territory coz ya can end up with a tiny bushy plant that could take ages to grow out again. There are 3 ways to do it first is too pinch out the main head second is to do a complete top by removing the top down to the first big leafs thirdly is to only remove 60-80 percent of the main head.
As manc said (nice pics of male female btw) its depends what you wanna grow. If ya've got lots of plants squeezed into an area a sog grow then there's not really any point in pinching then out if on the other hand ya've only got a few plants and you want them to cover a greater area ya pinch them out. If head room in your set up an issue then you would pinch them out to slow down the upwards growth.

you wont be able to flowerwith just a handful of flourescents tho. expect to have about 3 of those bulbs per plant by the time harvest rolls around.

id suggest keeping the flourescents till the end of veg, then get a 400w HPS rig to flower under

Good points guys. Yep semi bloom plants to take a peek at there sex.
Yep more light needed but if electrics a problem adding any hps over flo's lighting will have more of a marked and most pleasing effect.
Well i cant tell mjann what k that light is by pic but if its grow em then it will bloom. 2000-2400k the range ya want for blooming.

Well I've just had a smell at both my male and females and i cant tell the difference both smell of green vegging growth although a friend of mine always says fems have a sweeter smell over males.
Lol i got that a bit wrong its 2000-2700k for blooming you want although your 6400k is a veg light in theory it should grow tight looking buds. As been said before ya really wanna up your lighting before you bloom and will be well the trouble and extra cost.

smell wont really be any different until the females start budding, usually about 2 weeks into flower is when they will begin to have a scent, at about 4 weeks your gonna want a carbon filter

Patience! Nature does what nature does in it's own time, all we can do is give little nudges here 'n' there, if yer this excited already.......=>O

Relax enjoy the experience of being a gardener, everyday brings something new, well at least till the last 3-4 week wait for harvest, my point is gardening teaches zen or degrades into neglect, either way we learn something of ourselves:>P

i get excited just watching my seedlings grow.

however, the most critical advice is to not rush harvest. just because the plant mayve stopped adding bulk or size, and its been the vendor-suggested flower time, doesnt mean its ready. In many cases, the "suggested" flowering time is about 1-2 weeks less then the ideal.

/\ Amen Klondike, I've seen many times that when buds might big around as yer thumb and all hairs are discolored, red purple or tan, if I just wait 2-4 days another growth of hairs seems to emerge from inside the bud until eventually the bud is big around as a baseball bat!>)
