Actually no, no I'm not at all. What I am doing is having a bit of fun and then have to read all these old folks posts that sound as if they've never had a bit of fun in their lives. Bunch of buzzkillers. This isn't a class room.
Aren't you like twice my age? I've almost died from alcohol a few times (not stupid decisions on alcohol, but throwing up while passed out, specifically, on my back) and would expect someone in the land of beer to be a bit passed such a response to someone saying that alcohol can kill you. But that's just me -- offensively comedic about some things, buzzkill about everything else, I guess?
Well yes, naturally if you have a culture that prohibits people from learning how to handle themselves, you will have a problem when they're all grown up and never learned....
Every fifth German has a drinking problem One in five Germans has an alcohol problem, a leading health expert has estimated at the launch of a “dramatic” new report into addiction on Tuesday. http://www.thelocal.de/society/20110426-34631.html
It's only a problem if it bothers people Yes, there's a difference in drinking and abusing alcoholic beverages.
Look at all this poor people that are so twisted that they are LITERALLY poisoning themselves! :cheers2:
Seriously though.....alcoholism and alcohol have done major damage to me, and many around me. Just yesterday I was with a friend. He and I talked about how we like to drink "too much". Meaning, we enjoy it a lot, not that we over-consume. Its in our conscious that it will only remain enjoyable if we keep it as infrequent as possible.
Here's the thing though. Yes, alcohol is poison. Yes, it is bad for you and causes all kinds of problems and on and on.... But... I don't think the OP wants to be lectured online about it. I mean, I don't think you're gonna change her mind or she wants her mind changed. Shrugs.
Remember, a lot more people than just her and the posters are reading this. The message for the 'dear reader' is important too.
My dad throws up from years of drinking. I wish he would quit it is killing him; he is dumping all those toxins in his body. He is not going to be around much longer if he keeps this shit up. He always says ohh I ate something that didn't agree with him that is bullshit like my sister said no one gets the stomach flue as often as he throws up or something that didn’t agree with him. The scary thing is you can never tell when he is drunk or I can’t at least I know never to call him in the evening same thing with my grandmother she starts drinking at 2:00 pm and doesn’t stop until she goes to bed she does this everyday my grandpa used to be a big drinker he has not had a drink in over 5 years, I never thought he would be the one to quit drinking I always thought my grandmother would be the one to quit. I worry about my sister I think she is headed down that same road she doesn’t know when to quit until she throws up and is hung over
jen i do understand what you say, alchol is aterrrible substance but sometimes people require an outlet from modern society
But alcohol and pot can be friends! :sunny: I suppose i'm going to be drinking copious amounts of alcohol a the beach this weekend.. oh boy :sombrero:
