My good friend alcohol

I guess so. my dad has inoperable tumor in his leg not life threating yet but very painful was born with it and he says he drinks to deal with the pain I asked my sister if he didn't have the tumor in his leg would he still drink? And she said of course I feel the same way he can't use that as an excuse anymore he has his medical marijuana license so he doesn't need to drink, if he wants to deal with the pain smoke a bowl instead of taking a shot. He has to want to quit and sometimes I feel he doesn’t I know he could really quit if he focused and tried for us and the grandkids he quit one time when I was little for 2 years I know he can do it again it I feel people drink when they are unhappy my grandmother is not a happy person she is getting old my grandpa is not doing well she doesn’t talk to her son my dad or my sister or ever see the great-grandkids. My dad is divorced all alone in his 5th wheel in pain and nothing to do and my sister is in a bad marriage I think that, and everyone ells in my family does too, her husband rather go fishing then hang out with his kids or Jackie she works all the time and takes care of the kids I know it’s very hard for her. And that’s her way of dealing with being unhappy “I think” by drinking. My family is so messed up

 

I guess there are lots of ways people deal with being unhappy and not just alcohol some people go shopping smoke pot drink take pills work out paint draw make things cook take pics
