ahhh yes the elusive rasp. don't you smoke? it's like instaraspomatic... but then you probably lose off your range... seems to have the one you often have to give up the other. the only way I rasp is when I'm sick... fun time to record.

some people just have that rasp thing going... I sadly am not one of them. but you know everybody's got their own sound so it's all good.

i smoke, i drink, i yell and scream, but alas, the rasp eludes me. i get it sometimes, gotta get the grit. depends on the song. i'm working on something between bonnie raitt and janis joplin. janis joplin to me sounds like marge simpson. i don't want to take it that far. but my voice is wayy too pretty at this point :ack2:
