I have no concern for an after life myself because it doesn't seem a practical concern. Any one who speaks of afterlife does not do so from the benefit of experience. I have found practical results in daily life from some of the principled prescriptions in religious writings.
which is i think part of my original point - that the religious texts have some usefulness, but don't have to be taken literally. i guess i personally have not found any usefulness in them though... and i enjoy pondering the existence of a sort of afterlife
\ Star Core Gravity.. bigger than Life. this is no mistake, but the planet is corrupted... I never thought Id say this. Listen to Terence McKenna .. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pkck99hyYWk"]YouTube - Mckenna: On UFOs and science
Unfortunately what Mckenna fails to realize is that the Patriarchal belief system actually came out of Religious belief, that is if we want to believe that we somehow made a choice beyond evolutionary social structure for patriarchy. While the foundations for science have been laid down for quite awhile, the whole scientific method is still a relatively new concept and it hasn't been static at any point since it's inception. Chemistry, Physics, Archeology, Psychology, Astronomy, etc have all made tremendous leaps and bounds in the past century and a lot of it has provided us with longer lives, better living conditions, and more efficient ways of functioning inside the environment.
