But everything changed with that trip... and one thing that changed is cutting out my addiction to this place. These forums took over my life.

And I'm not doing any drugs or drinking for a long time.

I haven't really had a chance to get to know you beyond reading some of your responses to other members and those posts show you to be a decent person. Because we haven't really cultivated a friendship as yet you certainly don't owe me any explanation- nonetheless I hope your newly altered life course nets you an abundance of happiness and success. Seems to be the season to tighten ones grip on self discipline as there have been a number of "last post" type of threads started by some regulars.

Don't forget those here who consider you a friend and we can always throw that celebrity roast for you!

 

LSD is an amazing tool to be used to make one aware of their own shortcomings. But the effects LSD have on the ego are not as long lasting as they are on perception. The ego is a monster that will always keep coming back asking for more, and how you live with what LSD shows you is a personal struggle not so easily overcome. Everything is beautiful when you have a positive trip, but we are not pure beings, we are humans bound to our mistakes. But taking the first step towards bettering yourself is always a step in the right direction.

If there's one thing I've learned from doing acid a whole bunch of times is that that "glow" kind of of things your learn fades away after a week or 2. Like I remember after one trip I said I wasn't gonna drink for a long time because it was during a time period where I was really depressed and drinking near daily and was piss drunk for a good deal of the trip and thought it was disgusting. But yea give it like 2 weeks tops and you'll stop caring.
