my monkey

wow.. i didn't realize it had been so long.

i started fixing and finishing these guys today.

the monkey's tail got all jacked and he wouldn't stand on his own. :frown:

the creatures head, an arm and a leg for ripped off.

my goal is to have them done and ready to paint once we move..

monkey still needs ears.. they both need faces.

i'm sure they will.. unless i sell them.

 

After all this time, if you sell them they are going to have a hard time adjusting to a new home.

What if they don't though? What if they can't? I believe that all creatures, however concocted, have an innate nobility, a sanctity not to be sullied by the stigma of being sold.

they know i love them enough to release them to the world.

i do remember

i just wanted to make something with papier mache and a monkey was the first thing that came to mind.
i did have a crappy horse too.. he's already long gone.

I once assumed the project of making a life sized mummy by paper macheing myself. I was going to stand it in the corner of my room (I'm really into horror-classic horror), I was going to wrap it in gauze and make it look really cool. However I only ever got the legs done. I should finish it.
