my neighbor has a yellow desert tortoise of some sort. sometimes me and dave will just sit and watch him while he's hanging out in the back yard. it probably irritates the neighbor, but he's jut do damned cool.

 

As I was driving back from seeing my man yesterday I took the back way.. I never do that
and my daughter from the back seat said.. Mom turn around! I nearly peed I was on the phone .. (I never do that!) but I'm trying to buy a house and this was an important call..blahh anyway back to the point
I turned around and there on a side road was this enormous snapping turtle.. it's neck was the size of my calf and his um.. maybe her.. tail was over a foot long and all spiky.. wowza what a coincidence

our neighbor's tortoise is affectionate. he comes over for a little strach on his nose or neck.

I didn't ask you how you named him, I asked what's his name...I guess he introduced himself....lol

 

He would make a damn fine soup.

 

Turtles are cool.

Now all I need is a black bear... I'll be a happy man if a black bear decides to visit me.

I've never had turtle soup.

 

Now you're talking I've seen several black bears up here over the years. unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me during the sightings.

There was a story a few years back in massachusetts about a couple on a motorcycle who were struck and killed when their bike hit a black bear on the highway

The bear was last seen limping off into the woods

Every once in a while you can see some black bear roadkill on the road here right next to where I live.

There have been black bears around my house in the past... I just want one to visit me now and go through my trash.

 

The locals must go crazy over that....who gets the head, the torso, the paws
