3x as Iraqis? Ok now granted the number of dead can greatly vary between what reports you use, but it is not at 450,000.

Does it matter?? You know what I mean! Why argue about how many people have died when its missing the big picture?

Accually, the government has been punishing news people who report the exsact number of casualties, so the numbers that you are seeing could be completly fictional

well i dont live in the us and theres no reason why news people here would be punished for reporting true numbers. so its unlikely theyre so fictional.

you threw up when we started attacking them? damn you sensitive, not using that as an insult just yet young one. But still its just a war, im for it, not for bush but for the war. Do you know what saddamizer hussein (whats going to happen when he goes to prison sodomy or whatever its called) was doing to his people? he tested weapons n shit on them! his own people!! wouldnt you want their suffering to stop? im not hippie for the world peace shit or whatever but the next reason is another good reason for the war. my friend told me about this jet that was discovered in iraq, and it was like supposed to be so advanced we couldnt make it. maybe there werent weapons of mass destruction yet, but might as well get 'em while theyre down.

Don't forget that the US supported him when he was torturing his own people...

Ok, that jet you're talking about is bullshit. I assume you're talking about the one that Colin Powell presented to the UN... if so, that jet was destroyed over ten years ago.

Look, are you really so naive to believe that our government really cares about the Iraqi people? Do you really not believe that our government isn't looking out for its own best interests?

    Which sounds more logical?

1.) The US invaded Iraq to remove Saddam from power in an attempt to install a puppet government "asking" for the establishment of permanent US bases for "security purposes," and to allow all of Iraq's oil to come to market. This way, the Saudi grip on the oil market would be temporarily weakened, and the US would have a strong foothold in the Middle East. This was all planned by PNAC back in 1998.

    Or...

2.) The US invaded Iraq because after years of support of Saddam, we decided that he is a bad, bad man who needed to be removed from power. Plus, we thought that he had these weapons, too! As it turns out, they were destroyed years ago, but hey, we were given bad intelligence. It's not our fault! It was... the French! Yeah, the French! But remember, this is a just war! Don't let those darned liberals fool you!

Come on... think for a minute.

Wow this post went in a few directions...

First, america is fucked right now and the news won't admit, the last time I checked the stat I think it was like 30% of americans are living below the poverty line and are without access to basic medical attention (i can't even imagine that, I'm a canadian and take health care for granted I suppose)

Second, The Tsunami is rather sad but iraq is far worse I would agree. But disaster stories can be sensationalized and if the number of iraqi's that were killed in total (including pre - war with sancations) was ever aired pre second term bush, maybe he would have lost the election, or maybe not, just a thought

Three, I was reading the paper this morning (montreal gazette) and it pointed out that the province of quebec only donated $100,000 to this whole crisis. Iraq aside, I'm ashamed of my own people (french canadians). Although I'm glad this was published the Toronto sun made as well of laid out in a chart how much aid each country sent, because (it being a conservatitve paper) it as per usual, gave bush the golden handshake of approval and scolded the rest of us, perhaps they should have noted what each country grosses each year as well?

Alas i'm at a library and being kicked off

    Peace Kids

We're not at war for good, god, or country... we're at this because of greed.

    G-R-E-E-D.

If you support the war, you're supporting the NWO.
