Living on the coast, my house always smells like the ocean whether I want it to or not Longnook Beach, Cape Cod Hotwater
Ahhh if only my room could smell like the ocean!!! And those cheapo sprays that say "Ocean mist" smell nothing like the ocean... They should really come up with the REAL ocean smell. I bet it would sell... I've just recently gain an appreciation for the ocean. I was there almost everyday this summer. Don't worry I used my SPF 50! Still got dark as night... But anyways. I live in southern California. The waters can be a little rough every now and then. Really, it depends on the beach. I live in Orange county... and I like Balboa. Waves crash right on shore. So you can float around in the water, (I'm short... And I don't swim well, so it's a major plus for me.) With out going too deep in. Plus the people at Balboa are nicer. And during the summer the water is warm... But not as warm as in Mexico. Or Hawaii.
beautiful! i'm officially jealous. i want to live on the beach!!! yeah, cheapo sprays that say ocean mist stink like crap. i don't know if you can bottle real ocean smell, because it has to do with fresh ions and such. i never use sunscreen. i tan, that's my sunscreen. i wanna visit san diego. supposedly it's really nice there. there just really isn't much actual beach up here. it's mostly rocky coastline. there's a little bit, but not a lot. next summer i'll have to go lay on the beach at least, and soak up the atmosphere, even if it's not safe to get in the water.
Isis, on your journey to the south PLEASE pass through Big Sur, and go to the beach there. I promise you will fall in love. Highway 1.
i will. maybe next summer tim and i will be wanderers, and wander down the coast of california. california seems to be a good place to wander around in.
You really have to have an appreciation for the sea which can often be fickle especially here along the New england coast. It requires patience especially in the spring when it’s 30 degrees on the coast and yet 50 degrees just 20 miles inland, or when a thick fogbank rolls in off the north atlantic covering everything in a foggy misty shroud Hotwater
it's the best place I've ever wandered... I need to wander elsewhere, but I'm never bored, lost, or hungry wandering around in Cali godspeed
yeah, i totally want to wander in many places. but i'm content with california for a few years anyways. until i'm ready to "settle down," whatever that means, lol! hotwater... yeah, i can appreciate the fogbanks. it gets pretty foggy here. i'm only about 25 miles off the coast, and when it gets hot inland (sacramento, etc.) it pulls the fog in off the coast and it gets cold and foggy here, even in the summer.
that sounds like fun! tim has never wandered much, and i've never wandered voluntarily... it's about time for us to wander with some friends!
Even If the beach is sometimes nothing more than a rocky shore dotted with tidal pools Kittery, Maine Hotwater
It wasn’t meant to represent a tidal pool, but If you want something slightly more representative try lands end in Massachusetts Hotwater
