but if its registered as a motorhome ya dont need a special liscence, even with airbrakes
ours isnt registered as 1 yet but will be sune
once the seats are removed u can get rid of the commercial veghicle registration and i think register as a truck, and to register as a motorhome i believe you need 2 out of any of the following mods
a table, a bed, plumbing (bathroom/sink or shower) kitchen, stove oven or at least hotplate
i think theres otrhers im not remembering
but basicly throwimng in a fold out sofa bed and a homemade table or something is enough to get it registered as an rv

once its an rv your insurance is dirt cheap (125 a year about) you also need a search warent to search if pulled over (harder to get then 1 for a car since its a home not just vehicle)

the special liscence maty still be needed on very heavy vehickles..im really not sure, i heard anything over 28,000 pounds, but one we looked at was 36,000 and said no special liscence needed

im fairtrly sure the rv status removes all needs for a special liscence

 

I thought so too, I was just asking because I thought you might know more about busses than me.

It took me a year of running around, calling around, faxing around, and searching around to be able to find a place to tittle my bus as a motorhome and inspect it. I finally got it done last year and I was so happy.

and luckily my insurance is $110 a year.

only thing I'm worried about is i keep reading conflicting things. one place says i don't need a special license for an rv. another place says i need a special license for ALL vehicles over 26000gvr. mines 26500gvr.

ill probably be living in it all summer (when im not at jareds) actually. i dont know where ill end up going, but i doubt ill have a place to stay other than jareds and my aunts.

im stopping in olds to have a look around the college (plan on taking farrier science there) so depending on my $ situation and how rushed im feeling, i will try to pop up to red deer

btw, i would really love to hear of any spots of interest, free or cheap campgrounds, safe and quiet places to park, etc along the way, if anyone knows of such things

 

i love your buses.they look so cozy. ive been wanting one so bad recently to travel and go to the new mex. gathering in but i aint got no $ . someday i will get one tho
