I couldn't tell you, but my mother works at a Native-American(Canadian?!) daycare centre cooking for 50-someodd small children, and she makes corn soup from time to time involving lye-soaked indian corn.

I don't eat it when she brings it home from work...

  13. yeah, that'd be hominy.....

I just don't get using lye for food

you know what's cool about soap?

haha me too. i used to always eat paper products. like in elementary school, we didnt pay for our food with money, we paid with lunch tickets and I'd be standing in line waiting for my food, and by the time I got to the ticket collector lady person half my ticket would be eaten :D napkins were a fav of mine as well. now i think about it, i was a fucked up kid.....

Napkins are quite good dipped in sugar once they lose their flavour.

Dave, lets hear about the dead people soap thing.:D

  17. people would be sacrificed near rivers, the water would flow through the woodash and their fat, downstream of this lye and human fat clothes got cleaner....

mmm human sacrifice gets your whites whiter.....
