You have just brought memories of the opening of the Disney animated version of the story. It was the premier that I worked on where I first met Jane.
When they hired her to work as the ice cream lady on the opening night, they had forgotten to tell her that she would be in front of nearly 2,000 people and when the spotlight hit her, she put her hands over face and turned sideways to avoid it. Since I was controlling the lighting, it did not go down well. Even the round of applause from the audience did not amuse her.

 

When we moved into our Wimbledon house, all the neighbours started calling me "Jonny" after our weekly delivery of 15,000 condoms arrived.

How Jane and I ever managed to have 3 children always amused them. Unfortunately, Jane did not see the funny side.
