I know a couple who named their son Ronan. I kinda wish I had thought of it first. It's very strong and masculine. my own son has a very classic, traditional name but it is also very uncommon these days if I ever have a girl I want to name her Imogen (also very classic as it was first used by Shakespeare) and then her middle name will be my maiden name
Nice. Anyways... I like Pavle or Danijel for a boy, and Sofija or Ines or Agnes or Natalija for a girl. I'm still undecided on the whole having children thing though.
1st boy=Erin. (but that's a girls name-someone exclaimed! Don't give a shit--grandparents were stone Irish and came over on the Queen Mary -late 40s.) 2nd boy= Matthew. The brains. Daughter= Tobyn. A little change on the original Irish family name , which is Tobin. We were going to name the first child--Mahina if it was a girl. Hawaiian for moon. (Tobin was kids grandmothers maiden name)
I like the old testemant name Zebulan for a boy. But it doesn't match the Earth names I wanna give my kids.
Forest is probably the best of all of them. I don't like your daughter names so much. If you're going to go with an earth name, I'd go with Brook or Frost.
fluffles and grontic. (how is a forest supposed to be able to run? aren't trees supposed to have roots or something?)
I would probably give my kid 2 names (if it was just my choice): one local heathen and one that happens to be biblical: I mainly like David. Because of the sound and association. That's why I wouldn't call my kid Yob for instance, also because of associations. Not the biblical ones, it's just that Yob (Job, not pronounced like the word job btw ) is a dutch name and I don't like any dutch Jobs that I know... (sorry Jobs). Me neither. I guess I just don't really dig earthy names. Or... it's not that by definition, it is more just words that are turned into names. Not that I would hold it against the name carrier or even parent! It is just so I wouldn't use such names myself. Luke is both biblical and a Star wars name, what more does one need (well maybe his cool last name) In dutch we have a very common boys name called Johan, which could easily be shorted to Han :-D (Johan is actually derived from the dutch bliblical name of John: Johannes, which is even more common here). I actually know someone who is mainly called Han, but it is a woman who's name is Johanneke (yeps name turned into a female form ). Also Hannahs are called Han often. Hmm I guess it may just be more of a girly name. Never thought of that before about Han Solo edit: I always thought Obi wan Kenobi is a great name too
Unlikely I'll have any more kids, but I might go with Adam and Eve. Just keep them away from fruit sellers. A friend of mine has kids named Phoenix and Storm. I quite like those 2.
