The guy has been discharged from hospital. I have no idea what has happened to his attackers.

It has since been discovered that he is an 'illegal' immigrant . He was offered a place in some sort of immigration hostel but refused; not sure why but instead went to stay with relatives but has now had a load of problems with new threats, plus general depression over the attack.

He contacted a social worker for help and all they said was "sorry can't help you because you're not legal"

I didn't think social services could do that ... seems that they can though
