Geez thanks guys. didn't expect this many hits. With this deal here, I just want something a little more natural thats not filled with chemicals.. I forget who said it on here but someone once said taht they didn't want to use anything on their body that they couldn't put IN their body, and that makes a whole lotta sense to me.
I have used baking soda (only for short hair unless you are reallllly patient) Bronners (dried it out. Must have good leave-in conditioner) cider vinegar rinses (takes a while to air out. bike or drive with the windows down if you go somewhere) and tried the let it go a few days theory. (no) to reduce oil you need something that surrounds the oil and allows it to rinse away. Some folks have luck with conditioner only except for once/twice a week. see pioneerthinking.com, too. I loved Smoke Signals. I kept feeling like I knew the story. I did. I'd read "Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven" the month before. Sherman Alexie is a thought-provoking writer.
tea tree oil is a natural repellant for "icky-shewy" bugs - but it does dry hair alot so little conditioner helps (at least for me) hello dready kids from Irie & Robby Red Locks here's a pic of me doing some solo/acousticy stuff at Mary's Place in Rockford, IL - Mary's is the Dead Head chill spot here in The Rock www.MarysPlaceBar.com Minglewood is hip too!! www.Minglewood.us we play these two joints quite often - my reggae band is called JAH volunteers
yeah, i wish i could somehow get the friggin oil outta my hair.. my hair gets greasy so fast, even when i dont use conditioner... ive heard if i only wash my hair every other day, it'll stop the oil a lot... butttt when i first start not washing my hair, the second day i look completely disgusting.. i dunno what to do.. lol
I've heard that washing your hair with dish liquid is great for oily hair. I have no idea how damaging that could be in the long run though. I knew a girl with extremely oily hair and she washed it with dish liquid for a month or so and her hair was never that oily again.
Water and oil repel each other, so it's difficult to get the oil off of your scalp with water. At least, that seems like the logical explanation.
