going to a foreign speaking country can be beneficial for yourself to learn the language because then you could get a job. and thats beside what you are talking about, which is the people in the country trying to squeeze you out because you didn't learn the language. In a country with big business opportunity and a thriving market, it's more important to be lenient with variety. China, for example, has to be lenient with language to thrive in business. To force people in one language will only really have destructive repercussions. It's not protecting anything.

Thats bull. There are many people who live here in America, don't speak english, and are paid twenty times more than someone who works at McDonalds... in fact I am sure it would be very hard to work at McDonalds and not speak english. Not that that helps your case, shitty jobs like that would probably be the hardest since you have to work with customers... those seem to be the only jobs you are thinking of. I can think of hundreds of jobs where you wouldn't need to use any language skills.... If your argument were right then deaf and mute people should "just learn how to talk" since they are in America... fuck your patriotical bullshit.

 

I just personally think it's cuckoo cuz i highly dislike all nationalistic thinking and some of the things you are saying seem ignorant. And yeah it can be beneficial for the person wanting/needing to learn cuz it'll help them, but tv channels and different medias should represent and reflect the population.

As for the China thing, I'm saying it can have negative repercussions to the economy demanding one language.
